Bharat opened his eyes. It ached a bit from sleeping late last night. But it was fine. He almost got used to it by now. He hated waking early there days. Almost everyone would be up anyways playing before classes started. It wasn't like before at all. Before it was just him in the early mornings. And his thoughts.
He never loved playing and running that much anyways.. His idea of a perfect day was when they all woke up together and snuggled, talking very little and letting their minds wander for eternity. He forced himself up from the mattress, gently folding it only to realise he was the only one there. Of course he was the only one. Of course everybody went to play. He sighed. He wished maybe someone would understand him. Someone would be a bit more like him...
Lakshman wondered why Bharat baiyya hadn't woken up yet. It's such a good time to have fun early in the morning. What could be better than having a race?
The race started and everybody started to run. Ram had grown pretty strong at that time and would have easily won. He was at the lead closely followed by Lakshman. It was good to win but a warmer feeling arose when he let his brothers win over him.
He slowed down realising that he used to let his Bharat win all the time. It would just be fair to let Lakshman have a taste of success for one time. His eyes shone when he saw his soul mate, his dear Lakshman win.
As Lakshman reached closer to the finish line, he was amazed to see his brother slow down for him. He frowned. This was always his brothers attitude. It was very kind of him but he would love to see his brother win.
Shatrughan stopped, panting. His twin had won! He was pretty happy and once he caught his breath he danced around the red faced, exhausted Lakshman. Close by he could see his Bharat baiyya approaching, not even making he effect to jog."Baiyyaaaa I missed you."
"Clearly Shatrughan was the only one who did :] ", Lakshman smirked.
Ram gave a stern look at him.
"Clearly someone won huh? Don't let that victory get over your head brother dear."
Lakshman rolled his eyes for he knew Bharat understood what happened." Oh yeah? Does someone want to challenge me in a horse race?"
" Oh no Lakshman, I want to challenge you at the politics test." Lakshman sighed. He had never been good at that stuff. On the other hand Bharat almost topped every exam. He would be better than his baiyya at some topics.
Ram on the other hand had a totally different worry of his own. His two brothers had been fighting for far too long. They would go on and on with their arguments endlessly. It would be exhausting for Ram to make Lakshman understand that Bharat was older than him and he had to respect him and, for Bharat to make sure he treated Shatrughan and Lakshman equally. They would obviously listen to him and try their best not to fight but all it would take was a tiny incident to instigate them. Sigh..
