It was almost noon. The cool winter afternoons were quite relieving.
Wonder where his Lakshman 'dearest' is going to take him. Better not be for those silly races again. He loved Lakshman which at first sight was not very apparent but the way he his eyes rested when he saw him clearly indicates his affection. His baiyya knew it very well. They had a discussion last night. He decided for once he would try showing his affection out. His natural shy and introvert nature always would find a way to hide it but he would try. He followed everything his elder brother told him till now. Every order except this. Now he'd listen. It was his duty after all.
Lakshman uncovered Bharat's eyes only to take them to the stables. He was sure his baiyya recognised it by the stench.
"Lets go racing, please", Lakshman has tried imitating Bharat baiyya's cute puppy eyes but he ended up looking pretty funny. He knew he was bad at convincing. Hmph...
To his pleasant surprise Bharat baiyya responded with the affirmative. He had agreed!!! Lakshman's aim was not to show that he was better, but just to make Bharat baiyya realise how fun his world was (and have some harmless jokes thrown at him of course ;) )
This wasn't his idea of fun of course. Bharat was a very indoor-ly person.. but for his sake. Fine. He wasn't as bad as riding as he himself claimed to be but it just did not appeal him. He sat on a brown one and gently stroked its neck, making it comfortable with him. The first part was good. It was easy to build a bond. He slowly reached out his legs and rides comfortably. He had to gain some speed now.
He closed his eyes occasionally to prevent the dust from hitting his eyes.
"You are actually doing it quite majestically baiyyaaaaa", Lakshman shouted. Bharat grinned. He couldn't help but look back and see how his younger brother shown in the noonday light. And suddenly the world around him became blurred.
