" Yo? Jennifer? Where'd you get lost?" I heard a voice screaming into my ears.
" Nowhere, just thinking of something," I replied hesitantly.
" Anyway I should leave, it's late. I had a good time with you Zephyr, thank you." I got up from the couch and made my way towards the door when Zephyr stepped in front of me, blocking my way." You're always welcome here. May I walk you to the door?" His sweet yet deep voice made it sound like a command.
I nodded my head in agreement and smiled.

After that day, we spent almost every day with each other. Researching and discussing Supernatural. I guess we became good friends. We had our fair share of arguments..mostly over Supernatural. For example, who's better, Sam or Dean? I'm team Dean whereas he's team Sam. We could never reach a common ground.
I had also found out that we shared a lot of things in common. We shared the same taste in music, books, food and almost everything except movies.
I loved horror whereas he was a fan of romantic comedies." I've never seen a rom-com before," I confessed to him.
" You've got to be kidding me!" Zephyr exclaimed in utter shock upon hearing my confession.
" Okay it's decided, movie night on Saturday, my place, rom-com," he declared
" Ew! No, rom-coms are cliche," I said looking at Zephyr who seemed like he was about to have a heart attack.
" You did not just say that," he said with his eyes wide and mouth half-open.
" I definitely did." I let out a chuckle.
Fast forward to Saturday. I'm at Zephyr's place watching this rom-com called ' Crazy Rich Asians'
" You're gonna love it," said Zephyr with a twinkle in his eyes waiting for my reaction.
" We'll see"The movie started and by the end of it, I'm ugly crying.
" Oh my god, it was so beautiful. They got together and everyone's happy." I managed to frame words while crying happy tears.
" I know right. It's one of my favourite movies. I'm glad you liked it."An awkward silence followed once the end credits started rolling.
" So..Jen..do you mind if I call you that?"
" I don't," I replied.
" What's your idea of a perfect date Jen?"
" Well... it's probably something like this you know...me, my special someone and a nice movie with snacks or he and I could go stargazing."
" So are you calling this a date?"
My cheeks instantly turned red and my ears couldn't believe what they just heard. I regained my composure and said, " Yes it's a date, a friendly date, a date with a friend."
He let out a chuckle. " You're cute when you're blushing."
Hearing that only made me blush more.
Oh god Jen, what's wrong with you?! He was only messing with you. Get a hold on yourself.
To hide my tomato red face, I turned my back. I got up from the couch and headed over to the huge balcony attached to his room.
The cold air brushed against my skin as I watched the clear sky filled with stars. I was in awe of the mesmerising scene before me." You have a lovely view from here," I said as I leaned against the railing and felt the fresh air hit my skin.
" Yeah, thank you." His dark eyes fixated on me as he moved closer to where I stood." Aren't the stars just beautiful?" I asked while I tried to figure out the different constellations that I could see.
" They are indeed. We're stargazing, right?" He asked with a smile on his face.
" I guess we are," I responded.
" There you go, two in one date with your very own," he said with an evil smirk on his face.
I looked at him, not believing what I had just heard. My brain, struggling to form words and my face, not co-operating either. I'm as red as I've ever been.
Zephyr's laughter echoed in the entire room.
" Oh my god Jen, your reactions are priceless. You're so easy to mess with."I could see him being proud of this achievement while I struggled to say something.
You're a fool, Jen. Why are you so great at embarrassing yourself?
" Okay you got me good, now will you stop laughing?" I managed to frame a sentence only for him to laugh even louder.
" No," he said, immediately followed by laughter. Not gonna lie. His laugh was like music to my ears. How could his laughter sound so graceful whereas mine sounded like a dying goat?
" Hey, I have a question. Do you mind if I ask," Zeph said as he put his hand on mine.
" Not at all. Go ahead," I said.
" Why do you always wear long sleeved t-shirts? Don't get me wrong. They suit you well. But is there a particular reason why you never try anything else? I'm sure you'll look great in different styles."
I took the time to process his question. " It's hard to explain," I said.
" It's okay, we don't have to talk about it if you don't want to," he assured me with a smile.
" It's not that I don't want to tell you, but it's kinda sad. I don't wanna ruin the mood."
" You won't ruin anything. You can tell if you're comfortable."
" Someone once told me that I shouldn't reveal my arms because they're big and they don't look nice," I hesitantly began narrating.
" Who's that someone?" He asked me with a hint of anger in his voice.
Seeing me quiet on that question, Zephyr didn't push me any further to speak up.
" Well..whoever that person was, he or she is an asshole. They couldn't see how beautiful you are. I hope they're out of your life for good." His words seemed as if he truly meant it and his lips curved up into a smile.
His words took me by surprise. It felt good to share this with him. I couldn't help but smile when he said all of that. I felt the most relaxed I had in a very long time.
