"where exactly are we going?" i'm so tired from walking i could fall asleep right here. "the captain said to head to that pine tree up there." gon pointed at a pine tree at the top of the hill. we reached a 'town' if you could even call it that. "what an eerie place" it really is. there's no one around and there's a lot of crows. crows freak me out.

all of a sudden two doors opened revealing a group of people wearing masks and in the middle was an old woman sitting down. "exciting." is what she said. Leorio and her kept repeating it. "IT'S THE EXCITING TWO-CHOICE QUIZ!" that caught me so off guard i fell but thankfully no one saw cause i was standing behind Leorio. everyone else seemed pretty 🧍‍♀️ too.

"you guys are headed for the pine tree, right? to get there, you'll have to pass through this town. i'm going to give you a quiz." ok well i'm screwed since i suck at those. "hey. what's going on here?" Leorio is so dumb. i just wanna punch him like just once. "you have five seconds to think." ok now i'm actually screwed. might as well say my goodbyes now.

"get it wrong and you will be eliminated." kill me now. "hey uh guys i kind of suck at these so there's a chance i'm gonna be eliminated so uh it was nice knowing ya-" i actually said my goodbyes i doubt myself so much. "that will be the end of your hunter exam this year." Kurapika smiled and i got butterflies. "i see. this is a checkpoint for the hunter exam, isn't it?" what does that mean-. "is that so?" Leorio finally put his briefcase down. "i'm really good at quizzes." i wonder why he looked at me when i said that. "shut up." he ignored me.

"just one question?" "you can only chose one of the two. all other answers are considered wrong." why is everyone here so confusing- or am i just dumb? "wait a minute. is there only one question for the four of us? does that mean i get eliminated too if this kid gets it wrong?" he pointed at me, of course. "what do you mean? what scares me is the probability of you getting it wrong is so high." Kurapika told Leorio. man he really has me falling for him. i whispered a quiet "thanks" under my breath. "what did you say?!" "but it's fine as long as one of us knows the answer!" ok well then i don't really have to answer first, right?
