"hey babe?" I heard Hailey yell from the kitchen
"Ya?" I replied getting my phone from the nightstand by the tv
"Want me to make you coffee before we head out?" She asked as I walked into the kitchen fixing my beanie
"Sure,you look pretty hun," I said leaning over to kiss her cheek and grabbing a donut from the box beside her
"Thank you," she replied,she had on what she always wears a plain tshirt and jeans but to me she's always beautiful. She turned to look at me," hey is that my shirt?"
"Ya. So it's not like you haven't wore my shirts before." I said leaning against the counter
"Also true." She laughed,"you were up late last night,this case still bothering you?"
"Kind of,but I got closer at least I got more drug houses out and there locations." I said proudly they all know once I get into a case I'm in it to it gets solved even if that means being hyped up on coffee and sleepless nights
"Oh my little techie." She teased
"But you love me." I replied going to put my laptop in the Carrier bag
"That I do babe. We've been dating what ten months now?" She asked coming up to me and handing me my coffee
"Almost a year, and you'd think I'd have the balls to come out to the guys."

"There's no rushing it, you'll come out when the times right. No one will be like them,these guys are your family,we are your family now not them." She said going to hold my free hand and gently squeezing it
"I know, this is one of the reasons why I love you so much,you know exactly what to say and when." I replied kissing the side of her head with me being a good few inches taller, "I love these guys like there family" I said gently squeezing back
"I love you." She replied
I grabbed my Bag with my computer as Hailey grabbed the car keys.
"Love you to."

"There you are." Jay said as we came up the stairs
"Were did you think I was? You know I never miss a day on work. I live for this job,think of it this way if it wasn't for my tech savviness you boys would be lost." I teased going to my desk next to Hailey's.
"True,but we would still solve things."
"Who puts you boys in place when things get out of hand?" I asked raising a eye brow as Hailey tries not to laugh
They all know I take after my dad,well he's not really my dad but since my 'family' didnt want me he took me in like one of his kids and I'm gonna be forever grateful for that. I have been known to take down a guy twice my height and weight. That's how me and Hailey met, she was new to the crew and we were partners and this huge seven foot 300 pound guy came running our way, pushed me out of the way but she didn't miss a beat she took off after the bastard and took him to the ground. I knew from that day she was my girl I fell hard for her from day one. Sure we started as friends but there was something there she made the first move and kissed me.
"Your lost in your head again Tay." She said standing beside me,so are backs were facing the wall I felt her hand gently rubbing my back calming my nerves.
