I walked towards the carriages, away from Lupin and met up with Hazel who was looking very smug.

"So, Lupin?" She smirked as I furrowed my brows.

"What about him?" I questioned nonchalantly, flicking the page of my book, though I had long since lost my place, simply staring at the words, though they had no meaning, I could feel myself getting nauseous- which had been happening quite a bit the last few months but I tried my best to focus on hazels words.

"What about him?" Hazel mimicked "I saw you, don't try it,"

I rolled my eyes, saving my place in my book before setting it on my lap. Clearly I was not going to get any peace.

"I think he is a good guy but it's never going to happen,"

"Thea, are you going to sit there and act like you haven't had a crush on him since he grabbed a book for you off a tall shelf in third year?" she looked at me with a blank look and I flushed a deep crimson with my mouth agape.

"I thought we promised we'd never bring that up," i huffed and she grabbed my book off me and started whacking me with it.

"Stop. Being. An. Idiot. And. Make. A. Move." She said, pausing to whack me after every word and I wrestled the book off her, rubbing my arm with a frown.

"Ow. You know I can't, there's no point, I'm going to be betrothed at any moment," I reminded her and she scoffed.

"And that means you can't have fun?"

I didn't respond, I simply returned to my book and she seemed to get the hint, huffing and falling silent for the remainder of the ride.

I linked my arm with Hazel's and she grinned as we followed the crowd into the Great Hall and took our seats at the Slytherin table.

"Hello Allie, Elgrove," Lucius spoke from my left.

"Lucius, thanks for saving us a seat," I greeted him with a grin before turning at the sound of Dumbledore clearing his throat to gain our attention.

He did his usual speech and the first years were sorted, applause sounding through the room as the hat shouted out a house.

"I missed this food," Hazel spoke as she devoured any food she could get her hands on.

"Slow down!" I chided, chuckling slightly as I took a sip of my pumpkin juice. Out of the corner of my eye I spotted the Slytherin gossip group, smirking at me which meant bad news.

"I've had enough grief from my father this summer, I don't need to be tortured by them as well, I will murder them all," I snapped quietly so only Lucius and Hazel heard as I narrowed my eyes at them.

Lucius wasn't good with his words so he simply placed my favourite cake on my plate, making my lips twitch upwards slightly as I glanced up at him to see him nonchalantly eating his dinner.

We soon retired back to our dorm rooms and I practically collapsed on the four poster bed, Hazel collapsing on the one beside me as the two other girls in our dorm, Mary Lawrence and Lyla Antar, followed suit.

"I feel pregnant," Mary spoke though her voice was muffled.

"I second that," I groaned, Lyla and Hazel making muffled sounds of agreement.
