I hummed thoughtfully as I made my way through the corridor, book in hand, finding a werewolf in a school filled with idiots is hard.

The words on the pages started to merge and I blinked rapidly but it wouldn't go back to normal. I leaned against the nearest wall, trying to calm myself as my sight kept going shaky.

My episodes of nausea had been occurring more and more frequently as the weeks went by, I was not amused.

I stayed there for a few moments to collect myself, huffing as I pushed myself back up and continued my walk through the halls.

Maybe I should go to the hospital wing.

"Still not figured it out yet, Allie?" a voice startled me and I glared as I looked up, seeing Lucius reading over my shoulder before falling into step beside me.

"What're you talking about, Malfoy? And You lost all right to use that name, leave me alone, I'm too tired to deal with you right now," I scoffed, turning my attention back to my book.

"Your little Gryffindor half breed boyfriend and his animagus friends," He spat and I rolled my eyes. Like those three are smart enough to become animagus, especially Peter.

"What about him? And he's not my boyfriend you jealous possessive git,"

"You saw the werewolf yourself, I heard you and Elgrove talking about it, well, maybe you should start your search by first looking at your new 'companion'," he rolled his eyes and I scoffed, closing my book with a loud snap and abruptly turning towards him.

"Listen, it's one thing to act like a git to me, but don't bring Remus into your little charade, now leave me alone," I huffed and he narrowed his eyes.

"Just think about it," were his last words before taking his leave and I rolled my eyes. He always had a flair for dramatics.

There's no way Remus could be the werewolf! That man folds his socks! Now that I think about it though... James and Sirius were acting rather suspicious when I brought up werewolves, defensive, too defensive.

It's also suspicious how James and Remus clammed up at the mention of my animagus form. No! It's not possible, Lucius is just trying to get in my head.

I took a detour, making my way outside to clear my head after the episode, taking a seat by the Black Lake and resting my back against the tree, the sun was setting and I was unbelievably exhausted.

The sound of birds travelled through the air, putting me into a relaxed state as I took a deep breath in to calm myself, humming in contentment as I watched as ripples disturbed the calm waters. It was nearly after hours but I didn't care.

Footsteps suddenly startled me, causing me to avert my eyes from my book. I became quite shocked at the view in front of me, a shaggy looking dog? A rather familiar looking one at that, staring straight back at me.

"Well hello there, what brings you here?" I smiled as it simply sat there, staring at me.

"You're going to bore a hole in my skull with that stare," I remarked, reopening my book and continuing to try to read but the dog wasn't having that, barking as soon as my eyes hit the page.

I sighed, yawning as I shut the book and placed my hands on my lap, staring at the dog in frustration. It looked quite proud of itself.

"Ok, you've got my attention, what is it?" The dog stayed still, the same stare directed towards me and I huffed.

"Stubborn, aren't you? You came at the right time to distract me, I really shouldn't have come out here alone. I've been on the same page for an hour, it's like the words don't make sense anymore," I sighed, lifting my book slightly.

"Snuffles, there you are!" The voice of Lupin suddenly called out as he jogged over, clearly out of breath, glaring at the dog who had been keeping me company.

"Snuffles? I didn't know you had a dog, Remus," I narrowed my eyes at the brunette suspiciously as he fumbled for a response. If you're going to lie, do it well.

"Erm-yes! No wait, I mean no! He's...James' dog! yeah!" He finally finished as I crossed my arms, raising my eyebrow. Even the dog looked disappointed. Wait. Why did the dog look like it was actually bloody disappointed?! Oh, don't tell me-

"And where is James?" I questioned, ignoring the suspiciously human looking dog. What Lucius was saying is making more and more sense.

"Oh Prongs- He's right over-" Remus pointed behind him, and where James was supposed to be stood a deer, frozen by the sudden eyes on it. I guess Lucius was telling the truth. Real subtle guys.

To be completely honest, I was in shock. I sighed, gathering my things and standing, ignoring the animals who I had guessed were James and Sirius. I always knew Sirius was a dog, just not a literal one.

"W-well, Remus, I'll see you later, good luck with your pets," I spoke, running a tired hand down my face. This is going to result in a breakdown tonight, definitely.

"Wait! Thea- are you alright?" He started as I began to walk away and I turned to give him my attention.

"I'll be fine, just tired," He looked like he wanted to say something but stopped himself, handing me my book I had left on the ground, blushing when he read the title. 'Werewolf Law and Legislation - How to join the ministry beast control'. His reaction to my werewolf talk makes sense now. And their nicknames for each other.

"Thank you," I smiled deliriously, walking closer and placing a light kiss on his scarred cheek, too tired to become embarrassed as I surprised myself with my boldness "Goodnight, Rem,"

I didn't miss the smile he wore and as his face got warmer, as did the feeling in my chest.

Remus? a werewolf? Who would have guessed?

That night, a full moon shone high in the sky, I didn't sleep for the third night in a row due to the sound of howls.
