(Y/N) Pov)

After work Kurapika drove us to a nearby bar while Melody and I sat in the back. I braided her hair and it turned out really cute.

When we arrived there was not a lot of people, so we got through pretty easily. We promised each other we wouldn't drink to much and only had 2 drinks.

After about 30 minutes I went to the restroom and was interrupted by a drunk dude.

Drunk dude: "Hey there cutie, how you doin."

He reeked of alcohol and I quietly tried to get through to the bathroom.

Drunk dude: "Hey hey where are you going?"
Y/N: "Somewhere else"
Drunk Dude: "Well why can't we just sit and talk"
Y/N: "I'm fine"

(Kurapika's Pov)

Melody and I were talking about what our future missions would be like, then realized (Y/N) has been missing for a while now.

Kurapika: "Melody do you mind checking on (Y/N), see if she's/he's ok"
Melody: "Sure"

Melody made her way to the restrooms, and a couple seconds later came rushing back.

Melody: "Kurapika someone is hitting on (Y/N)! She looks so uncomfortable."
Kurapika: "What?!"
Melody: "Ya hurry we have to help her"

We rushed to (Y/N) and the guy hitting on her/him. I don't know why but I felt anger, and my scarlet eyes started triggering. The only thing I can do to save (Y/N) was to act. I went up to (Y/N) and gave her a back hug.

Kurapika: "Sorry guy but she's taken. You can leave her alone now"
Drunk dude: "Huh oh really"
Kurapika: "Ya so if you don't mind I'm taking her/him with me"
Drunk dude: "Actually I do mind"

He tried to grab my arm and now my scarlet eyes were triggered. He saw and immediately backed away nervously.

Drunk Guy: "F-fine have her/him, I don't care"

He scoffed.
When the guy left, (Y/N) gave me a hug, thanking me for protecting her/him.
I let go of her so she/he can go to the bathroom. Melody turned to me with a smirk on her face.

Kurapika: "What"

I said in confusion.

Melody: "You got jealous?"
Kurapika: "What no I was just protecting (Y/N)"
Melody: "Mhmm deep down you actually wanted to be her/his boyfriend"

I blushed and looked away in embarrassment.

Kurapika: "Tch ok fine you're right"
Melody: "Hehe I knew it"
Kurapika: "Don't tell her though"
Melody: "Don't worry your secret is safe with me"

(Y/N) came back and sat next to us. Throughout the rest of the night she was kinda quiet.

(Y/N) Pov)

I sat in embarrassment still thinking about Kurapika saying he was my boyfriend. I couldn't help but think about it. After the night was over I had some creeps looking at me. Kurapika noticed and put his arm around me.
I blushed a bit having a small smile on my face. We said our goodbyes to Melody and went back to the small motel.

Kurapika: "Hey (Y/N) why were you so quiet for the rest of the night"
"Y/N: O-oh no reason. Just felt awkward while those people were looking at me"
Kurapika: "Oh well at least I was there to help you"
Y/N: "Ya I-I guess"

I could tell Kurapika noticed my awkwardness and he lifted my chin to look at him.

Kurapika: "Is it because of what I said...y-you know about b-being your boyfriend"
Y/N: "I mean kinda, it's not that I felt embarrassed. I guess I just got a bit flustered."
Kurapika: "Oh then I apologise"
Y/N: "No no it's fine"

He pulled me into a hug

Kurapika: "Hey since I'm your "boyfriend" can I hold your hand"

he joked.

Y/N: "Sir are you flirting with me"
Kurapika: "Hmm maybe"

I chuckled and held his hand. I saw him blush and I kissed him on the cheek.

Kurapika: "(Y/N) I LOVE YOU"

He bursted out suddenly. We both blushed and he sat in confusion thinking about why he said that. I put my hand on his cheek and said...

Y/N: "I love you too"

We looked into each other's eyes. Later he picked me up and we laid in bed and just cuddled as I played with his hair.

Kurapika: "Sooo does that mean we're dating now"

Kurapika asked slightly blushing.

Y/N: "We both love each other, so I'm thinking yes."

He chuckled as he kissed me on my forehead and we fell asleep in each other's arms.
