Work days off for Y/N in the glade were excruciatingly boring. Especially when nobody else they knew was off.

Y/N didn't want to annoy people, follow them around at their jobs. So all Y/N did was sit around.

They chose a comfy spot, carried their book that the creators had pleasingly sent up, and they normally sat somewhere for hours on end.

Today, they chose a spot under the tree near the builders hut - mostly since the builder hadn't started working yet. A smaller tree stump on the outskirts of the forest was an almost perfect spot.

That was, until Y/N noticed something, or more like someone. We'll get into that later, though.

Y/N became so lost in their book that they almost didn't notice a few of the builders nearing them and starting to plan out their next tasks.
Y/N glanced up but noticed none of the builders even spared a glance in their direction - too busy in their own heads.

Y/N sighed, resting their book openly on the ringed tree stump. They studied each of the busy boys faces and body frames.

Jay's shoulders were hunched and face was scrunched as he leaned over his work space, sawing up a log.

Perry wiped his sweat-coated forehead and stepped back to examine his work - a new set of chairs for the meeting room. Brilliant!

Gally. Head of builders. He was lazily strolling around, looking for something to do, almost zoning out in his own world.

Then Y/N noticed something they had never noticed before.

Val - a gardener - tapped Gally on the shoulder, and he flinched. The Gally, tough guy, tall strong and muscular, flinched at this boys touch.

Y/N furrowed their brows, confused on what just happened. He flinched. Did he get scared?

They brushed it off as a coincidence, and went to go back to their book - but then it happened again when Perry patted Gally's shoulder and asked for feedback on his chair.

Gally flinched at everyone's touch.

And Y/N needed to find out why.

Of course, they couldn't not annoy people all day, so it's only fair that it's Gally. They have a real reason to do it. And I mean, technically
Y/N does want to help.

They came up with a plan. They would use as much body language as they could with Gally, or see if the flinching was just a one time thing. What better things do they have to do? Read? Pshhh, as if.

The book was garbage anyways.

So, Y/N decided to pester Gally as much as they could.
