LUKE - 3 YEARS LATER

i am nervous as hell.

actually, i don't think nervous even covers what i am feeling as i get in my car and drive to the flat. when i park up i see her car is here and the nerves intensify. after a few minutes i decide to stop being a baby and ring her buzzer, she buzzes me up seconds later and opens the door, smiling widely at me, before i get a chance to knock, her eyes are wide looking at me surprised.

"you're not the pizza man" she stares and i smile down at her, the nerves from before nowhere in sight. everything disappearing as she stands there.

"i mean i can be anything you want angel"

"you weren't supposed to be home for 2 weeks"

"you know it's dangerous to buzz people up without checking who it is" a smirk forming on my face as she stands there shocked.

"you're really here?" she asks, i move closer smiling at her as she reaches out running her fingers through my hair.

"i'm really here baby" that's all she needs to leap forward wrapping her arms and legs around me as i hold her up by the back of her thighs tracing over her skin softly with my thumb - our heads nestling in each others neck "i missed you too"

"i missed you so much" she whispers into my neck as i move us into the flat kicking the door shut with my foot.

"i know it's been 3 years and you'd think i'd be used to this but put my sister down" i hear my best friend shout as he appears from the kitchen.

"behave yourself matthew they're in love" sarah scolds him slapping his arm slightly as she makes her way past him into the living room. i put ella down and kiss the side of her head smiling down at her.

"what? a best friend can't get love too? this is favouritism i'll sue" matt glares over folding him arms over his chest.

"i give head matt i'm automatically the favourite" ella smirks over and my eyes widen.

"no because in my world sex isn't a thing and you especially don't have it" we all give him a flat look.

"matt i'm pregnant with your child and we literally caught them at it don't spout that shit" sarah rolls her eyes and ella flushes pink. i wrap my arm around her shoulder chuckling at sarahs bluntness.

"don't remind me i still wash my eyes out" he cringes.

i place a kiss on ella's head and walk over to matt "come on then bring it" i smile as a grin makes it's way on his face wrapping his arms around me and we pat each others back.

"it's good to have you home man" he mutters and i nod.

"it's good to be home" we part and matt walks over to sarah, his hand instinctively placed on her bump and i smile.

"come on, we've got to get going" he tells her and she just nods look up at ella.

"brunch tomorrow?" sarah asks and ella grins.

"same time every week, you know i'll be there"

they leave the apartment and i sit down next to ella, taking in her beauty like i always do. her hair is now shoulder length after sarah accidentally burnt a chunk off with a lighter a few months ago. her blue eyes stare intently into mine, reminding me of the ocean, always reminding me of home.

home being her.

"hey angel" i grin down at her. even all these years later her cheeks still flush pink at the nickname. she moves down wrapping her arms around my body leaning her head on my chest and begins to draw patterns on my leg.
