18. Fireworks Display

Dahyun's POV

We were smiling to each other when Jimin said something.

"The fireworks display is going to start soon."

I raised my eyebrows and asked him, "what fireworks display?"

He flicked my forehead and said, "the one you told me earlier. When we were at the carnival..."

It finally hit me all at once. I asked Jimin if we could go to the fireworks display that the carnival would host.

"Oh....what are we gonna do?" I asked.

He rolled his eyes and said, "babo, ofcourse we're going"

His statement made me smile.

"Really?"

He sat up straight and nodded.

Suddenly, the door revealed Minhyun who is smiling widely.

"Eomma, Apppa, I would like to introduce someone to you" he said.

I widened my eyes. He has someone already?

Make sense, Jimin and I met at this hour

"Come inside" I said.

Minhyun went inside and a pretty girl followed.

I flashed a warm smile to the flustered girl.

"What's your name, dear?" I asked while giving her a cup of tea.

"Ara, Im Lim Ara, Mrs. Park" she said.

She's so courteous. I smiled at the two.

They look totally flustered. Blushing cheeks, sweet smiles.

Young love

"Uhmm, eomma... Im planing on moving out of the house." Minhyun said.

I raised my eyebrows and asked, "why?"

"Well--" but before Minhyun can finish his words, Jimin wrapped his arm around my shoulder.

He just smiled and nodded signaling me that it's time to let go.

I bit my lips and smiled.

"Ofcourse." I said.

"Take care of yourselves, okay?" I said.

I want to cry...

I bit my lips and smiled even more.

Soon, Minhyun and Ara are already hugging me.

"Thank you, eomma"

"We'll get going, Mrs. Park" Ara said.

"Call me eomma" I asked. Such a sweet girl. I'm happy Minhyun found love already.

"O-oh okay e-eomma" Ara said smiling

The two went out of the house and drove away.

I hugged Jimin and cried.

"You should be happy" jimin said while chuckling.

"I know. But he grew up fast. It's just like hours ago when I held him in my arms" I said feeling emotional.

"Things are meant to be like that, Dahyun. And one day, you'll realize letting go isn't always as bad as you think" he said sincerely.

I just smiled and tightened our hug.

"So...shall we go to the carnival? It's getting dark, the fireworks display will start soon." He said.

I wiped my tears and nodded.

He led me to our car and he began driving.

I remember the first time I saw him drive.

It was when we firs went to the carnival. Where we got married right after our graduation.

Then the second time when we finally built a family.

And right now, when we're growing older every 18 minutes.

I smiled.

It wasn't bad after all.

"We've reached." He said smiling gently.

We went out of the car and find a good spot.

The carnival is beautiful.

There are lights everywhere.

The ferris wheel we had rode earlier is covered with lights to.

"Ice cream?" He asked.

"Ofcourse. Chocolate." I said.

We bought two ice creams and ate them.

We were busy having the moment of our lives when someone called me...

"Dahyun!"
