A/N: Thanks for the votes guys! I was kinda sad not being able to update for ONE, ENTIRE FREAKIN DAY. XD lol, But I was at this extremely dull Biology lab...which I hate. So anyways! Once there, I jumped up and down like a little girl getting a new toy.
I wouldn't die an old maid.
I don't know if any of you understand how happy this makes me.
Seeing my face in the mirror brought me back down to earth with so many questions, the main one being: Why me?
Right at that moment the bathroom door swung open, much to my horror revealing....
Oh gah no. Please. Anyone but Shelby. I'd trade my soul to the Devil for it to be anyone else.
But apparently it has to be her.
She glares at me. "What's this I hear about you and Harrison?"
"What's what you hear about Harrison?"
"And YOU too! Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about." She replied, venom dripping from her words like honey.
Any trace of courage that I'd obtained an hour ago when standing her down in the hall was gone. Completely gone. Blown away with the wind I guess.
It was anywhere but here...in this bathroom, with the two of us.
I gulped.
"Us? Me? Harrison?" I spluttered. What was all this about? I didn't understand it myself, but I was also not about to put Shelby's mind at ease.
"Hah...I knew it was just an ill based rumor." She snorted.
"It would take someone with real imagination to come up with a story as hilarious as you dating Harrison Crawford."
She was ready to turn on her heel and leave when I finally found my voice.
"Well, then I suppose you'd be shocked to learn that what you heard ISN'T a rumor. It's all completely 100% true."
"True? Sure." She giggled as I followed her out of the bathroom. We were now in the main hall, and it seemed she was winning this fight.
She continued with her Delanie bashing.
"I won't believe a word of it until I hear it come straight from Harry's mouth. It's blasphemy, really."
"Won't believe what?" A deep, familiar voice asked behind me.
Shelby and I both turned quickly on our heels to face our idol. Who seemed all ears today.
"Hey baby, how's it going?" He questioned me.
I felt my face heat up. I was so socially awkward and didn't know how to flirt...heck, I couldn't even carry on a normal conversation with a guy.
"Baby?" Shelby questioned. Turning from me to Harrison, then back again.
"That's right." I stuttered. "I guess."
"You guess?" Shelby mocked me. "This really is too funny."
"Shelby." Harrison stepped in.
"I'm afraid I haven't formally introduced you to my girlfriend. Delanie Andrews, Shelby. Shelby, Delanie Andrews!"
