CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

| AMELIE | 17 years old |
| HARLEM, NY |

I sat down on the bleachers eating lunch with my best friends watching all the students eat or play around with their friends.

It was 90 degrees outside and I was irritated that we had to wear uniform today.

"I can't believe we are going to be seniors soon " Ksenia says while thinking about it.

"Time definitely passes by" I mumbled feeling sad all over again.

"Aw girl cheer up....don't be sad that Vinnie is going to college soon" Maia rubbed my shoulders.

"Girl let me be sad...Im going to miss him so much" I pouted watching him laugh with my brothers and his other friends.

"It's that di*k you going to be missing" Ksenia taunts me.

"As I should....the fu*k- might trap his White a** so he can stay" I blurted out taking a bite out of my sandwich.

"GIRLL" Ksenia and Maia gasp with a laugh.

"That's not right Amelie" Maia frowns at me.

"Amelie why you acting like he's leaving the state. He's literally going to Mohawk Valley it's not far from Manhattan" Ksenia tries to reason with me but I shook my head not caring.

"Hell no...He's going to be busy with football" I reasoned.

"Girl that's his dream college...don't do that to him..." Maia says while eyeing me

"I was joking..." I lied.

"Oh ok" Maia and Ksenia says leaving the conversation as it is.

I roll my eyes finishing up my sandwich. I stood up cleaning off my skirt then throwing my sandwich wrapper in side of the garbage.

I headed over to where Vinnie was sitting down at and I tapped his shoulder. Vinnie turn around staring at my body head to toe.

"Hi bae...why are you looking at me like that?"

"Because you look fu*kable right now!" he haul me by my waist so I can stand between his legs.

"Why do you look so sad for? Still sad about me leaving?" He lifts my chin up as I sat down on his lap.

"Yes baby" I pouted feeling myself about to tear up.

I was so emotional about him leaving for college soon. Vinnie made me so happy. I will feel so alone without him here with me.

"I'm not far away though... I will pay someone to drive you to see me" Vincent kissed my pouty lips.

"That's not enough for me" I whined.

"Let me find out your obsessed with me....do you want me to give you a baby so you wouldn't be alone when I'm gone?" He says with a laugh & I raised my eyebrows.
