"I'll be right out" I tell Quincy before getting out the car. Lyric hops out the backseat and we went over to the front door. I unlocked the front door and we both walked inside.
"I'm home!" Lyric said as she walked into the house. My mom was laid out on the couch watching tv.
"Hey Ma" I said walking over to give her a hug.
"Hey" She replied, "You leaving already?"
"Yeah my friend is waiting in the car for me"
"Friend?" She questioned raising an eyebrow at me "Oooh let me meet him" She hopped up from the couch and took flight to the door.
"Nooo stop" I yelled and chased after her. As soon as she got the door open I pushed it back closed and put my body weight against.
"Why I can't meet him?" My mom laughed.
"Why do you wanna meet him?" I asked still shielding the door.
"What is he ugly or something?"
"Of course not. He's not my boyfriend though so there's no need to meet him"
"I've met all your other friends. Girl move Imma just say hey"
"Noooo cause if you meet him he gon think I really like him ion wanna seem thirsty"
"You better let me say hey so y'all can leave. Ya brother and ya daddy on their way home and you know how they are"
When it comes to my boyfriends King swears up and down that he's my big brother. He's super protective over me. Then once you combine him and my father together they're super over bearing.
"Ugh fine" I rolled my eyes and moved out the way.
"Ha they ain't finna be home for another hour" She said as she walked out the door. I just started laughing and shook my head. I really can't stand her.
She waved as she walked over to the car. The drivers side door opens and Q gets out the car.
"Hey it's nice to meet you" Q says holding out his hand for her to shake it.
"I'm a hugger" She replies and gives him a hug.
"I thought you said you only had one sister?" Q says to me furrowing his eyebrows.
"Boy please" I scoffed before laughing.
"You're her moms forreal?"
I couldn't tell if he was being serious or not but it was still hilarious.
She nods her head "I like him Paris"
"What's your name? I don't know anything about you, it's like she's been keeping you a secret"
"Quincy"
"K, you met him. We're leaving now"
"Y'all don't wanna stay for dinner?" My mom smirks at me she knew exactly what she was doing.
"Nope we already ate" I said walking over to the passenger side.
"Quincy you look like you play basketball. Don't you wanna stay and play a game with my husband and son?"
"Nope he tore his acl" I answered her for him.
Q laughs "It was nice meeting you Mrs. Baldwin"
"Just call me Ma" My mom replies
"I'm gonna be sick" I said to myself as I climbed into the passenger seat.
"Drive safe" She says before heading back into the house.
