"Are you sure you want to change your flight. It's just dinner it's nothing important?" I said to Quincy as I put on my jean jacket.
"They keep bringing up dinner so Imma go. It's not a big deal I can just take a later flight." Quincy said looking at his phone. "There's a flight at midnight. That sound cool?"
"Yeah, we can leave my parents house at like 10 and take you to the airport. Is there a cancellation fee?" I grabbed my lipgloss off my dresser and stuffed it into my purse.
"Yeah it's like $200"
"Damn they finessing. How much is the flight?"
"$159"
"K I'll send the $360 to your zelle. It's your phone number?" I replied grabbing my phone.
"Nah it's cool I got it. Ion want your money" Quincy told me.
"Too late" I said and cheesed at him.
I knew I had to just send it and not give him any other options because I know he wouldn't take it. I knew he would never take any money from me but I felt bad for him cancelling his original flight just because my parents want to meet him. That $360 is really nothing to me so it wasn't really hurting my pockets. I'm not saying it would be hurting his but I don't know his financial situation, so I was still going to be considerate.
"I didn't ask you to send me any money Paris. I don't need it" He furrows his eyebrows at me.
"I know you didn't but you're only staying longer to meet my parents. You've spent hella money on me, this is the least I can do. It's not a big deal"
He looks down at his phone and shakes his head, mumbling something under his breath.
"What?" I say raising an eyebrow at me.
"Nothing" He replies with his eyes glued on his phone. I grabbed his phone out of his hands "Nope. Speak up. What did you say?"
"It's nothing." He reaches for the phone.
"Nah what did you say?"
"Nothing all I said was they don't make em like you no more" He replies with a chuckle.
"Whatchu mean?" I said handing him his phone back.
"My ex used to make me pay for everything then would call me broke if I ever asked her to foot the bill for something."
"Ew. She's one of them? If you spoil me, I spoil you simple. Besides you paid for my flight when I came to visit, this is really the least I can do"
