Chapter XVIII: Newbies

With the war with Korean Union getting much bloodier for all sides, Chancellor Studge and General Zee needs more men to engage the enemies. Back in plasma rich Zee's adopted homeworld of Naboo, The Queen convinces her citizens to join the GAR to support the war effort...

"Eric Dalene! Number 99-22-67!"

The officers at the recruitment center near the capital of Theed checks every volunteers before they went into the boot camp. Here is Jakar Resh, a 20 year old man, 2 days after his graduation from the University of Theed, he volunteered for entering 13th Battalion Company P. He is eager to give his revenge to the Koreans for destroying his home twice during the war. After so many hours of waiting, the officer called him through the speaker.

"Jakar Resh! Number 567-765-31!"

he approaches the officer. The officer quickly give Jakar his uniform and insignia, dogtag, and a general issued bag.

"Now go to Naboo Airport son. here's your ticket. go to hangar number 12, and board the attack cruiser there ok. May The Force Be With You, Cadet Jakar."

"Yes sir."

he rushes to a nearby taxi stop, and go for the airport. He can already imagine he'll meet his beloved idol, General Zee. Who said to be very nice and caring to his men, while bringing many victories for the Republic. He can already imagining he's wearing that grey uniform, killing Korean soldiers, blowing out Korean ships with his starfighter, or changing his uniform to ARC trooper armor.

"Here you go, son! and oh. I don't charge any credits for cadets. your ride is free, cadet."

with smile, Jakar Thanked the taxi driver. Now he arrived at Acclamator Class "Amidala" which is a former part of 10th Fleet of Admiral Zee, Now General Zee. There, his comrades waiting for him.

"Jakar? you joined the 13th? cool man!"

Jakar's Friend, Werner already waiting for him. he is his childhood friend from Earth. Also studied in Theed University, he's originally from Dresden, before his parents moved to Naboo for bussiness.

"Yeah Werner. Only a few percentages of volunteers passed. you know, because of droid army that our senator voted for. So the demand is decreasing. Only the best physically good volunteers passed."

"It's better anyway than forced conscription. Not all people wanted this war anyway." Werner said.

boarding the Assault Ship, he immediately change his civilian clothes to Naboo 13th uniform. putting on the long, black boots to his feet, then strapping the belt with his service pistol, the elegant ELG-MP (Mass Production) which is just a cheaper version of ELG-3A of the royal guard. Then he zips the light grey fatigue-jacket after he saw briefly what unit he's serving for.

"Naboo 13th. Lotus. A girl silhouette? interesting."

After he's done, He went out from his quarter for briefing with the lieutenant.

"Welcome Cadets, to Acclamator Amidala. I'm Lieutenant Ben. Welcome to the boot camp. or Boot ship, sorry but no planetary boot camps. Here I'll train you until you can do something for the Republic. Now For the introduction, We'll talk about what is this Battalion? what's so special about it?"

Jakar, Sitting next to Werner, just listening with full enthusiasm.

The Lieutenant continues,

"Maybe you all cadets already knew who is the highest commanding officer here. If you don't know, his name is Zee-Dayn Macheyn. He's more like the Erwin Rommel of the Republic. Let me tell you about my experience with him. I've fought in the battle of Mimban. The longest battle for the Republic. Lasted almost a whole year. And ended with a shocking conclusion. Our General Zee, He infiltrated the enemy dreadnought while us down in Mimban, surrendered with a treat of orbital bombardment. He cared about us, He treated us almost like his children. He singlehandedly bring down that dreadnought and making that ship plunged down to the surface!"
