Chapter 15 Against All Odds

Third Person POV

Kage was pacing around in the Assault Teams room all of his friends were now missing while everyone else didn't know where they were he knew exactly where they went. He knew himself to be right and that they shouldn't have messed with that fortress and it's overlord and now. Now he was all alone and he wasn't sure on what to do he couldn't just go and storm the fortress not without Doni to give him the time he needs to transform he didn't have any ideas. He needed to know the layout of the fortress he had a good idea and where it was he just needed to know the inside and where his friends were being held and to free them. He wasn't sure he could do this alone but in his mind he had no choice he wasn't going to involve Sandra or Luna he knew Luna could fight but he didn't want to worry about someone else when he attacked. Kage turned himself into something small he turned himself into a Fly he went to the fortress after sometime of flying he found it. He followed the tracks from Ian, Doni, and Fenris he entered the dome surrounding the fortress and flew towards it the size of the fortress astounded Kage. It's pitch black walled higher then they were before along the walls a number of defenses ranged from ballista's and trebuchets to pin point shield generators and artillery guns.

Kage: "What's the point of the Medieval weapons with some modern ones? Wait she's uses Beasts with the different intelligence levels between classes some could only use those old weapons. Others of higher classes or just better species of Beasts would be able to use the modern ones... This is getting worse."

The walls were as thick as they were tall even an armor pricing shell from a tank wouldn't be able to go through the walls Kora was prepared for war. Though Kage didn't know who she was expecting to fight with all of this and he didn't care all he wanted was his friends back. He landed on a wall and overlooked the courtyard the Beasts appearing to welcome two new Beasts. Kage flew over the courtyard entering the fortress' inside and going through it's halls looking for any sign of anything he could use. In the end after going around in this fortress for what seemed like hours he found nothing he landed somewhere in the throne room and slammed his small fly arm. As he was about to leave he heard people approaching the room he was in he decided to stay for a little longer see what he can find out from listening in. Kora walks in following her as always is General with him is also Raijin followed by two other Beasts both of which seemed to be a mix of two Beasts. The first has the head of a goat with everything else appearing human it was also very tall despite General being around seven feet tall it was still taller then him. It also has a large sword on it's back and a snake tail as it exhaled some blue flames could be seen. The other appeared to just be a daemon it had a clock inside of it's chest and large golden rings around it's arms and legs it's skin a kind of firry red. Kora arrived at her throne and sat on it the Beasts made a semi circle in front of her and bowed except for General he was next to Kora.

Kora: "A scout and some powerful guards and the growth we've had it's magnificent."
General: "Yes but why are you building up all of this? Their must be a reason."
Kora: "The one I serve wanted an army so they are using me to build one of many they want built."
Time daemon: "Someone commands our master?"
General: "Yes and it best be remembered who our master serves is very powerful."
Kora: "Regardless all we are to do is keep building and getting even more numbers.. That town nearby should do nicely it has quite the number of people and some decent ones."
General: "And what of the Grand Council?"
Kora: "Yes them if they were to hear that a town was attacked by a Mythical class Beast they would send at least two of their members. We would be able to take two Council members but if they were to hear the part about the army they all may come with their army. We would be unable to fight against that even if we used the full might of our fortress."
Goat: "*Snarl* Then we take them all before they can blab!"
Raijin: "You fool! Do you know how many radio towers and sensors that place has?!We would be seen coming far before we could even strike."
Kora: "Yes this town why does it seem to have so many defenses in place? Even if it was to help protect Arthur they shouldn't have been able to set this all up in such a short amount of time... If they have this much the Yokai should have been seen just the same so why?"
Time Daemon: "If I may from the information we've gathered most of their defenses and signals all go through one point before going throughout the town or out of the town. If we were to do something to this area we would be able to attack without them receiving any warning or help."
General: "Yes but this area is in the exact middle of the town and the students at the collage there are all skilled fighters how do you plan on getting past all of them?"
Kora: "We plan for today and we will attack soon... So how long are you going to keep listening little fly?"
