6 - Attack

As Jungkook was away, Jane was attacked by someone while she wanted to go back from her work. That person has had a crush on her since she was at university. She has been called by that person so many times and then she is also being choked (it happens when she is about to go home) It leaves a bruise on neck and arms. It makes her scared so much. At the same time, she has called Jungkook so many times but he did not pick any. It makes her become more terrified.

Jungkook POV

To be exact, I purposely didn't pick up Jane's phone call cause I know she will talk about that thing which I'm too lazy to hear it. I do feel bad but I don't want to mess up my thoughts with such things. I'm already tired and stressed with my work.

Today is the day where Jungkook will come back from Japan. His flight arrived at almost midnight.

So, when he reaches home, the first thing that he does is cleaning himself. After that, as he is about to go to sleep, he remembers about Jane. So, he went to her room to look at her and as soon as he entered the room, he heard someone talking which he was sure was Jane. He got closer to her to listen to what she said. It was a heartbreaking scene where I saw Jane asking for help and said "hurt" word for so many times.

"Please.. let me go. It hurts."

"Please... help me.."

"No, no, no. Please.. Jungkook.. help me."

Jungkook thought that she was having a nightmare. So he tried to awake her by saying

"Hey.."

Then she opened her eyes with tears on her face. She suddenly grabbed Jungkook's collar (shirt) tightly and her body was trembling. She hides her face on Jungkook's chest. which make he surprised by her action

"Jungkook.."

He tried to calm her by circling her back. Not long after that, Jane becomes calm while Jungkook is still comforting her. Then, they ended up sleeping together.

The next day, Jungkook woke up before Jane stared at her for a while. He removed her hair that covered her face. when he was about to get off, he suddenly noticed a red scratch mark on her neck. He whispered to himself, "What is this?" Next, he also noticed the bruise at her arms. He talked to himself again and felt bad for herself, "What happened?"

Then he gets off from the bed with so many thoughts in his mind. After he cleaned up, he went to the kitchen. There, he saw Mr Lee and Halmoni having breakfast together. They were a bit startled when they noticed me.

"Uh? Sir."

"Good morning Jungkook" Halmoni said like taking care of her son

"Uhm.. morning"

"Come. Eat with us."

Jungkook sits with them and starts to eat. He grabs some bread first while Halmoni gives him a cup of coffee.

"Here."

"Uhm.. thank you"

As Jungkook kept eating without any words from his mouth, he eavesdropped on Halmoni and Mr Lee's conversation.

"You sent Jane today?"

"Yeah."

"Okay. I'll prepare her some food then."

But suddenly Jungkook spoke

"Is there anything happening as I'm not home?"

Halmoni was shocked by my sudden question and make her face change while Mr Lee casually answer me

"It is."

"What happened?"

Mr Lee keeps talking

"Molla?"

"What?"

"You don't know Jane being attacked by a psychopath stranger this week?"

"What?!"

"She was being attacked by some guy when she was about to go home. TWICE. Thank God she called me during that time. If I'm a bit late, something more bad will happen to her. Didn't she call you?"

Then Jungkook remembers the day where Jane keeps calling him but he doesn't pick it up.

"Jungkook.. please don't be mad at her. She really doesn't know who those guys are. She told me that there's someone following her and keep calling her. She is so scared and traumatized now." Halmoni turn to spoke

"You need to take care of her. It's a serious case." Me Lee said

"Is that guy still.."

"I've made a report. It is still under investigation."

Jungkook actually feels worried about Jane. He felt bad cause didn't listen to her. Jungkook talked to himself, "She must be scared."

A few minutes later, Jungkook came back to Jane's room. As he enters the room, he looks at Jane who is now preparing to go out.

"Where are you going?"

"Work?"

Jungkook went closer to her. He looked at her neck but the red scratch had disappeared so he thought she must have covered it.

"No. I don't let it be."

"Wae? I need to. I have lots of work and all the staff must be looking at me."

"I said no need. Just stay at home."

"No. I don't."

"Stay.."

But she kept resisting and was about ready to go out of her room. But suddenly Jungkook grabbed her wrist and pushed her until she lay on her bed. Jungkook seems a bit pisses off and get angry

"I SAID STAY!"

Jungkook looked at her with his angry's eyes while she also looked at him. There's tears in Jane's eyes. She is scared and tries to keep from crying out loud. At the same time, Jungkook can feel how tremble her body is.

In a few second, Jane answered with her scared tone

"O-okay.."

At the same time, Jungkook realizes that he is already making Jane feel scared and hurt. So, he lose his grip and said

"I-I'm sorry.. I didn't have.."

He suddenly stopped when Jane interrupt him

"It's fine."

"Look.. Jane.."

"If you don't have anything else, you can go. You'll be late."

Jungkook a bit startled by Jane's word. He also noticed Jane's expression. She looks sad. So, Jungkook just left her.
