Title: I should've thrown my cap in the air

-

George was slowly walking forward, gun in hand as he looked in all directions, aware of every little sound.

His partner right behind him as they stalked through the cold pale blue halls of the Asylum

It had been a year and a half since he'd gotten his senior agent badge having only started a year ago, and 3 years since he'd graduated

"Carlie, what do you see?"

His partner only shook his head as he attempted to peek out from the corner

He inhaled sharply as he sank back down onto the wall, clutching his stomach as his eyes widened

"Carlie, Carlie, what's going on?"

George bent down and squatted next to his partner, on the field you were supposed to protect your partner and/or team with your life

You had to trust them just as much as they trusted you

This is why George was silently freaking out as his partner groaned clutching his stomach

"Carlie, what's wrong? Does it hurt-"

A loud shrill scream echoed through the halls as George snapped his head in the direction

"C'mon Carlie we got to go!"

His partner however didn't stand, only sat clutching his stomach

George exhaled sharply as he grabbed his partner and began slowly rushing away to safety

"Davidson-"

George huffed as he attempted to open a door, however, he was abruptly shoved against the wall

Hitting a door nearby and falling to the ground

He looked up through dizzy vision at the other

"George- I..."

His partner was suddenly pale, George was confused and frightened

"Carlie, Are you okay?"

However, his partner only stared in silence as he shook violently, growling lowly as George's eyes widened

What the hell is going on?

He rushed to his feet and began running away, his partner not far behind as he shut multiple doors around himself

He was very much panicking, however, that was all gone when he looked in the corner and saw his director

She was panting as she gripped her arm, hair a mess as her gun was discarded on the ground, she looked as though she was going to faint any given moment

"Director?"

He approached her and was immediately engulfed in a tight hold as she stared into his eyes with distress and panic

"We should've never come here, Davidson!"

She shook his shoulders as she suddenly made gagging noises

"Director are you okay?! Have you been wounded? Have you come in close contact with chemicals or-"

She coughed as she stared into his eyes

He slowly backed away, her eyes had suddenly gone from brown to pink

He rushed out of the room and passed multiple other agents in the same condition

What was going on?!

This was meant to be a simple interview, not a full-on mission!

To make matters worse, he had no idea where the rest of his team was, he had just lost his partner, the director was in terrible condition and the asylum patients were nowhere to be found
