George sighed as he awoke on his bed, Amber eyes staring into his own as a low purr sounded in his apartment.

He didn't live in a bad area, he had a lot of unnecessary space in all actuality

He sighed as he sat up and rubbed his dry face, one thing he hated about crying; You always woke up stiff and drained

He contemplated getting up but only fell back onto the bed, wrapping himself up in the duvets

Wallowing in his guilt and pain

This was a grieving process, but sometimes certain methods were unhealthy

He felt a head peek under the duvet and was met with a cat

He sighed as he turned, however, the cat did not budge

Instead, it got out and jumped on top of him, meowing loudly in demand

However, when the human did not respond had the cat resorted to more drastic measures

He sat on top of the humans head, blocking off all oxygen as they panicked

Getting up and rolling out of the bed panting and gasping for hair

The cat meowed in triumph and got George out of bed

That was good

That was the first step

"Listen I don't want to get up okay? Just- just let me lay here."

So he did, he laid his back on the floor as a new set of tears made its way into his eyes

This cat was having none of it

It jumped from the bed onto his chest, knocking the air out of George as he reluctantly sat up, glaring at the cat sitting on his lap

It meowed with wide eyes staring into his own

"Just let me wallow in my guilt."

It was almost as if the cat was speaking to him, though it could've been the lack of water and food making its way into his body and taking effect

It meowed again, flicking its tail

"I-i... I'm the reason they're dead."

This cat was very much understanding him for it shook its head

Or maybe he was going crazy

"How is it not my fault?! I-.."

The cat only stared at him in anticipation

Suddenly his eyes narrowed

"If it's my fault, then I'll be the one to bring them the justice they deserve.."

He stood abruptly

"Get ready cat, we're going to England."
