It was such a wonderful thing for the both of them to meet in such a peaceful lifetime. Yet, fate is something that is playful that even such a perfect couple would not have a well written fairytale at all.

Even so, fate let them meet and it was the most beautiful gift they received. Have you heard of opposite attracts? It all started when Yuuka, a free-spirited girl transferred into Akane's school.

Moriya Akane's POV

"I am Sugai Yuuka, please take care of me." The new girl introduced in front of the class with a bright smile plastered on her face, It was something that everyone will be proud of and brag to the other sections for sure. But when her eyes met mine, It was probably a thing which I wouldn't want to share to others.

Frozen from that moment, I didn't notice that Sugai is already sitting on the vacant sit next to me with the same genuine smile she is showing earlier.

She took a peek to my table before turning her gaze back to me. It was awkward that I couldn't afford to say anything. I don't usually talk to girls after all. "Nice to meet you, Moriya-san." She uttered sweetly.

To end the awkward atmosphere, I just ended up saying: "Nice to meet you too."

Months have passed, I grew closer with Sugai Yuuka. She made me comfortable with her presence which I had a hard time doing. I have become good at communication with both genders too. In a month, something in me has change.

I've learnt that she like Sanrio characters, especially Hello Kitty. There was a time where we went on an arcade with our friends and ended up wasting our money for a hello kitty keychain. We had lots of fun, though.

I thought at first, she is perfect. But no, she has a clumsy side. She hates haunted houses. She is quite bad at sports and is a crybaby. I've noticed that since we're always together.

But those flaws made her more of a human. Those flaws made me feel like she's reachable.

There was a time where she became quite forceful. Everyone voted for her to become the class' president, but she didn't accepted it unless I become the vice. It's quite troublesome that we ended up having responsibilities just because of her popularity but I don't really mind.

Everything changed in my daily life from the day she barge into my life. Who would thought that a typical girl would manage to make you a better person?

"Hey, Akanen. You are daydreaming again." Risa let out a chuckle. Present time, It was already lunch break. "The cultural festival is approaching soon, why not ask Ms. President to plan with the class already?" Manaka grinned with her eyes on me, moving his eyebrows up and down.

I let out a sigh then took a sip from my canned coffee. They are just going to tease me again if I start to complain. "Hey, Nen. She really is an amazing girl, why don't you date her?" With that sudden statement, I choked on my own coffee.

"What are you-" I was about to give them scolding when a voice sudden interrupted. "Pardon my intrusion, Moriya-san. Are you free later after our part time? I think we should plan about the cultural festival as soon as possible." It was Sugai Yuuka with her usual approachable aura. I couldn't help but smile and give her a nod.

"Sure."

After hours of working, we finally got off the work and plan at an empty cafe nearby. Looks like the she is often here for the owner recognizes her very well.

We planned about the materials and themed that we will use for the cultural festival, but something bothers me the most. It makes me curious. What was inside the bag she was carrying since earlier? It looks heavy.
