My descize worked! I am fighting with the British army! I am a boy named Walter now! We were fighting the Germans on the eastern front. my friend Jean, his brother Pierre, and my brother Jhon where fighting with me. It was the day before Christmas when we heard a German yell across no man's land "ENGLISH TOMARROW IF YOU NO SHOOT WE NO SHOOT!" in broken English. I talked to my friends and my brother while we ate,
"what do you think he meant?" my friend Jean asked
"he means if we don't shoot them tomorrow, they won't shoot us, a truce" I answered
"do you think they will keep it?" Pierre asked
"I don't know, but I will trust them." I said finishing my food and getting up,
"I know this is your first war, but do you not know history?" my brother Jhon asked me getting up,
"yes, I do, and people have made truces before!" I yelled at him "I am trusting them; I will show you! I will go out in no man's land tomorrow!" and I left. What was I thinking?! I am going to trust the enemy tomorrow?! This is just to prove my brother wrong, but what if he is right? I did not try to think about it, and I tried to get some sleep, tried. I woke up and there were no gun shots, but no one on no man's land so, I did the unthinkable in war. I put down my gun, picked up a newspaper and went out into no man's land waving the newspaper around
