Sacrifices to save my family

The new member

It's been just over 4 years since I became a vampire and I have continued to adapt to my surroundings. Edward has been teaching me to play the piano. It's quite a nice way to spend my time as I have so much of it. I mainly spend a lot of my time painting and drawing. It's really fun. Carlisle even let me paint one of the rooms in the house with anything on it. I did some flowers and birds in a pattern so the room ties up lovely. It is kinda just a empty room with a bed in it, for a guest but like we would ever have anyone stay over. Me and Edward have been going to school, I have been focussing on my school work as I want to still achieve things in life even if I am 15 forever.I don't see Carlisle a lot as he does a lot of over time at the hospital, so I spend my time mainly with Edward. Sometimes I wish there was a girl in the house it can be a bit lonely only having two boys to live with but I guess it's better than no family. When Carlisle does came back home, I normally spend my time playing chess and other bored games with him whilst Edward plays the piano. I am so happy to have them in my life. Who knows if my brother had never found me then maybe i really could have been dead.

Carlisle had been working non-stop for the past few weeks as the hospital had been extremely busy. Me and Edward where getting worried about him as he hadn't rest or hunted in ages. We decide that when he was home that we made it as relaxed as possible.

One night one week Carlisle was working one more late shift and then would be having a few days off. I was down stairs reading and Edward was upstairs playing the piano. All of the sudden I could sense Carlisle and some one else was with him outside. I got to my feet and went straight to the door and opened it. I shouted up to Edward to come down stairs he was at my side in an instant. Carlisle rushed in with a girl in his hands. He didn't say a word he didn't need to really as I could hear what he was saying. By the look on Edwards face he knew what was happening to. But all of a sudden out of nowhere I heard a voice. It was a women's voice, it must have been the person Carlisle had brought home with him.

She said ' Am I in Hell is this the end.' I turned my head to face Edward and he must of heard to because we both said ' Esme you are not in hell.' We knew that was her name because that was the only name in Carlisle head as he kept on saying it. He looked sad almost as if the love of his life had gone. Me and Edward left Carlisle to be alone and have his own space.

It had been three days since Esme had come here and we hadn't seen or heard a word. Now and again we would here her scream from the pain of the transformation. Carlisle stayed with her all the way through not leaving her bedside.It was late in the evening, when me and Edward decided that we should check on Carlisle. However before we could enter the door flung open and there stood Carlisle. He called us in and there we saw Esme the young women slowly opening her eyes. I could hear all of her thoughts and they were all the same thing.

' am I in hell, but if I am in Hell why is my angel here he should be here.' When I heard the words Angel I was confused who did she think was an angel. Then if something had triggered in me, I realised she must have been talking about Carlisle. Aww how cute. As Esme begin to sit up and get a hold of her senses me Carlisle and Edward slowly approach her.

The next thing we all did was explain to her what had happened and what she was now apart of. At first she didn't believe us that we were Vampires and that she is now but then she started to get her head around it. We all tried to make her welcome, well Edward was a little bit annoyed at Carlisle for changing Esme. I thought it was very kind of him in what he had done I could sense that he cared for her very much and by Esme's thoughts and how she would blush when Carlisle looked at her I could tell they were meant to be together. Even if they didn't know it themselves yet. After Esme got to grips with her new form and being her and Carlisle went hunting whilst Edward was upstairs and I was getting the newly decorated room I had painted to look nice. I was so happy that Esme joined our family, I hope she decides to stay with us. It will be nice to have a girl as company for once. When Esme and Carlisle got back we taught her to blink and act like you were breathing so when she was around humans she could blend and fit in.

A few weeks have passed and Esme has been settling in well. Her and Carlisle have become extremely Close over those weeks. I can just feel the love and warmth's around them whenever they step into a room. Carlisle has been better and he seems far more happy in the presents of Esme. This makes me so happy, I kinda wish that I had someone who I could share this with. I know I have Edward and Carlisle and Esme but it's not the same something is missing.

The nights and days Carlisle is at work, i sit and talk with Esme, we normally talk about the things we enjoyed in life and still do. Sometimes we will talk about our life's before we became vampires. It's nice to have the company. I hope that everyone stays happy and that our futures will be full of love and family. Who knows more vampires might join our pack.
