The next morning. It's a slightly rainy day, with a light drizzle covering the plain, and even up here a little bit.

"Alright. Survival 101. This is being introdu-" Aizawa begins, his voice sounding tired.

"Forget everything you think you know, Aizawa. This place is a completely different animal, sometimes literally. Everything out here is either trying to kill you, then eat you, or eat you alive. Nothing else." I say, as Saisho sits on my shoulder, nibbling my ear, seeing if it tastes good. I lightly tap his head, and he stops, resting his head on my shoulder, sitting around me like a scarf

"Midoriya, what is that thing?" Aizawa asks, watching Saisho

"His name is Saisho. I don't know what he is. I do know he's at least somewhat friendly. He hasn't tried to eat Nezu, at least." I say, as Saisho seems to start to fall asleep

"I am grateful for that. Despite his cuteness, he does seem to be a predator, or at least a scavenger." Nezu says, and I nod

"I can confirm that he is at least carnivorous. First time I got seriously injured, he tried to eat some of the torn flesh while I was sleeping. After that, he came back a lot, looking for scraps. Sometimes, he got T-Rex, sometimes, he got a bit of me." I say, gesturing the scars marring my arms and exposed legs.

"You.... you've fed that thing some of you?" Yaoyorozu asks, and I nod.

"He ate it. I gave him some off of my bicep, and he took it right down." I reply, then stand up slowly.

"Look. You all have lived in the modern era. You've seen the horrors of that time. The horrors of this time are animalistic. You are going to have be willing to fight your life under stress from something that knows no reason, and will fight to the last breath for no reason other than it can. You will be hurt, you will feel pain. All of these scars, at least the new ones, are from my time here. In one month, I've had at 42 serious injuries. Luckily, I have enhanced healing, but it's still. Infections kill here. Or they would, if Yaomomo wasn't here." I say, nodding at my Class Vice President.

"Of course you instantly turn to your Class Rep! You 1-A kids are nothing but assholes! We can do stuff too!" Monoma says, and before anyone can even react, I'm in front of him, my hand on his forehead, applying light pressure to his temples, causing him to squirm.

"I'm not saying that because she's my Class Rep. I'm saying that because her quirk is incredibly useful for a situation like this. She can create antibiotics and painkillers, which makes surgery easier. If you get seriously hurt, someone is going to have to sew you up. Would you like that to have that happen with any morphine?" I ask, my voice cool and calm

"You know, you've gotten a lot less civi-" Monoma begins, but I shut him up by slamming him onto the cave floor, headfirst.

"Shut the fuck up. I'm less civilized yes, but by the time we leave, you will be too. This isn't school. This isn't some training exercise where the pros will swoop in and save us. You cannot afford to fuck up here. Because if you do, you may die." I say, saying those last two lines to everyone.

"I WON'T DIE HERE! A LOT OF YOU EXTRAS PROBABLY WILL, BUT NOT ME!" Bakugo shouts, shooting to his feet

"Actually, you would probably be the one to die first. You're brash, overconfident, and you're underestimating how deadly the creatures here are. These things do not care how powerful you think you are. They will kill you without any regret." I snarl, and Bakugo scoffs

"Like every villain we've ever fought." He replies, and I narrow my eyes

"There's also the fact that we won't find your body." I say, my voice like ice.
