friday's were definitely haley's favourite day of the week. and she especially loved when it was friday night.

friday night's was the time that y/n and haley would put aside everything just to spend time with each other. and tonight, they were having their weekly movie night.

as haley walks out of the kitchen, a smile grows on her face as she see's y/n laying comfortable on the lounge. haley wiggles the bowl of popcorn around in her hand, placing it on the coffee table in front of the girl.

"about time," y/n jokingly groaned, stretching her arm out to grab a handful of popcorn. "i was waiting for you."

"it hasn't even been five minutes," haley rolled her eyes, desperately trying - and failing - to hide her massive grin, as she plops down beside y/n. "are you choosing the movie tonight?"

y/n, upon being reminded, nearly jumps up from her position in joy. she snatches the remote from the coffee table.

"yep!" y/n basically shouts, as she logs into haley's netflix account. "and i already found one i've been waiting to watch."

"i'm happy with anything." haley fell silent for a moment, eyebrow furrowing as if she was thinking. "well anything without vin diesel or the rock. today just isn't that day."

"oh, someone has a type," y/n laughs. " you don't have to worry about their movies for tonight, but next week... who knows."

the room falls silent, the only sound coming from the tv as y/n searched for her movie. as y/n searched, haley searched and stared at y/n's face. the way the girl would chuckle whenever she passed something that looked like a hallmark movie was something that haley could watch on a loop that lasted forever.

but, as y/n glanced over at haley, having noticed that there was an intense gaze on her, haley became embarrassed. she clears her throat as she watches y/n cheer. the girl had finally found the movie.

after over coming her initial embarrassment, haley looked over at y/n with a smirk. "are you going to actually stay awake tonight?"

y/n scoffed, mouth falling apart as if she were actually offended. "of course i will be."

"alright, i'll just believe you for now." haley buries herself further into the couch as the movie finally starts.

only a few minutes had gone by when y/n decided to reposition herself. she laid her head down onto haley's lap, causing haley to chuckle down at her.

y/n was never one to be able to stay up too late, especially when she was with haley. but she always insisted on trying to stay up to accompany haley.

normally, their movie nights would have been a bit earlier, but it had been postponed a couple hours back due to other commitments. and so, this was a bit abnormal for them. well for y/n.

y/n turns her herself around to look up at haley, squinting her eyes at the girl looking down on her. "i'm just getting comfortable."

"you know, you're alllowed to sleep, it's alright." haley soothed one of her hands through y/n's hair. "we can watch this movie later."

"no, i promised you i'd stay up," y/n turns back around to focus on the movie. "i don't want you being lonely."

a small blush had coated haley's cheeks as heard y/n's words. the girl would always put haley before herself, in both little situations like this, and bigger situations.

the two continued to watch in silence, with haley continuously running her hand through y/n's hair.

"i feel like that he dies," haley pondered out loud, wanting to hear y/n's opinion. as she received nothing but silence, haley's eyebrows furrowed. until, she realised what happened.

haley leans over to double check her theory, smiling at the sight of y/n looking so peaceful cuddled up on her leg. haley tucks a piece of y/n's hair behind her ear, and leaned down to press a kiss on y/n's forehead.

"goodnight princess." haley whispers. "i love you."
