Chapter 37

Sofia's POV
As I walked outside I saw Hugo standing under a huge oak tree.

"Hey, I'm here" I said as I approach him.

" Hey Sofia" He said with a nervous smile.

"What's wrong?" I questioned "Why did you called me out here?"

"Uh.... So I wanted to talk about the ice dancing thing"

"Mhm what about it?"

"So I know that you are joining me and Khole. So I just wanted to talk about the routine" he looked away "You know"

I nodded as I wait for him to continue

"So our routine haven't change much it's kinda how we planned out before we had to change our dance partners"

"Wait you remember about the whole changing partner thing?" I said in shock

"Umm yea? Should I not remember it?"

"N-No"

"But if you remember this.... You should also remember that we use to be together..."

When I said the word 'together' my voice turns into whispers.

"Umm Sofia" he said "Remember that we what?"

I did not think much and hold his hand as I tip toe to reach forward for his lips

"Woah woah woah Sofia" he said as he pushed me back "What's gotten in to you"

"I-I was just trying to-" I said as I tried to find an explanation

"You know I like Khole right?" he said with a bit of anger in him

I didn't say a word as I just kept quite.

"Ugh let's just get this over with" his voice deepens

"So our routine will be the same as before but since you are joining, your gonna do the same but alone"

"What?" I said "But there are some stunts that require 2 people"

"Then we just have to figure it out during practice" He said as he walk away

"But-" I paused as he cut in

"I actually wanted your help on proposing to Khole" he said as he's back facing towards me

"After that action earlier... I don't think I need your help" he said as he walks away from the large oak tree

"H-Hugo" I said softly that only I can hear as my hand reach out to him. But he soon walk far away from me

I just don't know what's going on...

I stayed under the huge oak tree thinking.... I didn't know how long I've been sitting right under the tree

"Sofia?" someone called

I didn't look around to search for the person nor did I respond back

The figure then came sitting beside me under the huge oak tree.

"Sofia what are you doing outside? "

I still didn't respond to the figure who is sitting beside me

"I see... Feeling a little sad huh"

"Care to tell me about it?"

I turned to face the figure as he smiled at me

"Am I bad?" I said as my voice tremble a little.

"No of course your not" Miles said "Now tell me what happen"
