three
MICHAELA knocked on the window she was too familiar with, she was too intoxicated to think of how she will feel in the morning.
she heard shuffling inside before the window latch clicked and she came face to face with rue.
rue stood there stunned, she hadn't spoken to michaela in over a year and now she was knocking at her window, tear eyed and drunk.
"can i come in?" michaela said barely above a whisper, but rue heard her, rue nodded her head and extended her arms to help michaela in.
"here" rue said grabbing an oversized t-shirt for michaela to wear, "thankyou rue" michaela gave a genuine smile before quickly getting out of her dress and changing.
"i'll be back, make yourself comfy" rue said trying not to stare at michaela figure as she changed, she watched the girl quietly leave her room and then got under the covers waiting.
after 10 minutes rue came back with a bowl of soup in her hands, she gently placed it on the table side by the bed and then got in bed beside her.
"how was boarding school" rue asked trying to defuse the tension between the girls, "hell" was all michaela told her before eating her soup.
"i missed you though" michaela mumbled, barely audible, but rue heard, and she smiled to herself.
MICHAELA WOKE UP to the smell of breakfast, as she stretched her arms out she noticed a presence missing, rue.
she turned to her left noticing the curly haired girl wasn't beside her, she quickly grabbed one of rue's sweaters and leggings and made her way to the kitchen.
"whatcha making?" michaela grinned as she looked at the brunette, "i uh, i thought you might be hungry?" rue mumbled trying to find the right words.
"starving!" michaela giggled taking a seat at the dining table, "where's your mom and sister?" michaela asked noticing they were alone.
"spending the weekend with my mums boyfriend, i didn't want to go" rue replied placing their plates down and taking a seat opposite the girl she adored so much.
"must be hard seeing your mom move on, huh?" michaela asked as she tucked into her eggs, sneaking a few glances at rue, "yeah i miss him a lot, but i've accepted it." rue replied grabbing her toast.
the two girls ended up spending the next hour talking about everything and anything, as much as michaela hated to admit it, spending time w
with rue was her favourite thing.they both ended up in rue's bed watching netflix shows and stuffing their faces with popcorn, until michaela's phone got a message.
as michaela looked at her phone she read the message to herself;
ARVIN
mic, i'm sorry about last night, i truly am, it meant nothing and i hope we can be cool again, can i see you tonight? xrue tried to focus on the show and not the message she accidentally read over michaela's shoulder.
"hey uh rue, it's getting kinda late i better head home, i haven't actually seen my mom or maddy since i arrived." michaela said grabbing her shoes and dress from the party.
"oh uh yeah cool, i'll see you at school tomorrow?" rue asked trying not to sound to eager. "yeah ofcourse, i'll give you back these clothes tomorrow." michaela smiled at the girl.
as they said their goodbyes michaela walked out of the girls house with a big smile on her face, but when she realised how she was feeling, she felt disgusted in herself, and knew where she would go to shake that feeling off.
A/N: poor michaela :(( michaela is bisexual but can't come to terms with it just yet.
