JULES SOON REALISED that she had no life in new york. she loved rue too much to leave permanently. her father wasn't too impressed either when his daughter didn't return home after the party.
so jules made the decision to return home. unaware of the fact the girl, who has always had rue's heart, was back.

ON THE OTHERHAND, rue was completely stressing out. she checked her phone when michaela went to get changed for school.
michaela decided on wearing brown flairs and a beige hoodie. luckily she packed a bag of clothes before going to rue's in hopes she would be forgiven.
rue wore black trousers with a cropped top and her fathers hoodie. rue didn't want to tell michaela about jules because she was simply afraid.
what rue didn't know, was that jules would be back in school the same day she was back home. today.
michaela felt a little anxious when walking into school with rue. she wasn't ashamed of her feelings but she was also new to this. rue could tell that michaela was feeling anxious.
so she awkwardly grabbed her hand and offered a reassuring smile her way.
as the walked through the halls rue noticed the familiar blonde she was dreading to see. there she was, stood in the crowd. jules vaughn.
jules immediately ran towards rue not acknowledging michaela beside her. "rue!" she beamed as she hugged her tightly.
michaela let go of rue's hand when she saw them both hug, "oh uh hey." rue stuttered as she pulled away from jules.
"who's your friend?" jules asked rue as she looked towards michaela, "oh uh this is michaela, uh michaela this is jules." rue awkwardly introduced.
jules
michaela realised this was who arvin told her about, michaela felt her heart drop to the bottom of her stomach when she was how close jules was getting to rue.
"i better uh go to my locker, nice meeting you." michaela said as she tried to leave. "i'll walk you there." rue smiled at her almost-girlfriend.
"i can walk myself, i'll see you later." michaela muttered before walking away trying to clear her head. as she made her way towards her locker her day just got better.
there he was, arvin russell, stood infront of her locker.
"look michaela, i'm so sor—" arvin started but he was soon cut off by michaela hugging him. "are you okay?" he asked with concern.
"can we go somewhere?" she sniffled into his neck. arvin didn't think twice before grabbing her hand and leading her out of the school.
arvin took her to his house knowing his parent were at work all day. he turned on a random netflix show and let michaela get comfy in his bed before cuddling into her.
she ended up laying on him and venting as he played with her hair. arvin hated hearing about how michaela felt towards rue. but he loved her and knew she needed this.
so he put his feelings aside for now.
"i'm just so tired of not being enough." she sighed as she laced her hand with his free one. arvin kissed the top of her head as his heart broke at her words. "you are more than enough. and if rue doesn't see that, you should be with someone who does." he told her.
"i didn't even know you was—" arvin began but couldn't finish his sentence due to being interrupted by michaela. "i'm not sure what i am." she whispered as she turned her head to face arvin.
michaela was an impulsive thinker, she never thought of the consequences of her actions.
her and arvin both looked at eachother for a couple seconds before michaela smashed her lips onto his. he kissed her back instantly as he held her small body.
"i- i can't." she breathed out as she pulled away, "because of rue." arvin sighed as he let go of her. "i need to figure out what's going on with me and her before we become anything." she said as she got up from his bed grabbing her bag.
"michaela." arvin called out for her before she left his room. "i'll always wait for you." he said to her, and then she turned away heading home.
she wanted to sort this out with rue, but she needed to think about everything first.
she needed to think about how much she wanted what she has with rue.
