Okay. I'll admit it. I hated the idea of a Tangled the Series. In my experience, people totally trash a good movie with their "money-making opportunity" series. Usually, it's a totally different concept and there are new characters who do NOT fit in with the stories and the protagonists are back to their old selves even after the character development. When I saw a poster for TTS I literally said, "That's stupid. Her hair shouldn't be grown back!" and I moved on with my life. When Tangled the movie came out almost ten years ago, I was totally over it because there was a princess that finally looked like me and acted like me! I was Rapunzel for Halloween for THREE years straight, maybe even four. I LOVED it! Now that I grew older, that love kind of faded. I was growing in God and maturing and didn't have time for my favorite movie.
One day, as I was scrolling through Instagram, I found a picture of Varian. I thought he was an adorable looking character, so I read the caption and low and behold it said that JEREMY JORDAN was playing him! (This was legit in March of this year) I was ecstatic because I am a HUGE Newsie fan. So I found TTS on Disney+ and started watching it right away. I loved Cassandra and her snarky attitude and Varian was too cute for this world. I binge watched it because quarantine happened so I had time. Boy, did that Tangled love spark up again! I was an immediate Cassarian shipper after. (Not in their canon series personals ofc) And now I am an artist and a fanfic writer. This may be my first Varian drawing, but it's also my first TTS fan art!
