"Could you not come see me off?" I uttered. You were just about to say something when my sister walked up. You leaned in so you thought I couldn't hear you two.
After a minute, my sister turned grinning, and ran up to the stairs taking them two at a time. A brief awkward silence ensued. "Goodbye," I uttered. You leaned closer, half smiled and said, "Don't say goodbye."
I pulled you closer and gave you a warm hug. "Goodnight?"
"Goodnight."
