School. It sucked. Luke absolutely hated it. He approached the front entrance to the 100 year old building and he felt a knot grow in his stomach. Only God knew how much he didn't want to be here right now. He made his way through the desolate halls (Luke is usually very late due to carpooling issues) and climbed up the stairs to his home room. Mr. Budwiser, the history teacher, greeted him with a imposing glare. He plopped down in his chair and set his stuff down on the floor. He looked over to his friend Abernathy, who was making faces at him for coming in late. Luke rolled his eyes and laughed. He had known Abernathy since the 5th grade and they've been best friends since.

After about 45 minutes of history class, period bell rang. Luke gathered up his stuff and met up with Abernathy and Dallas, another one of his friends.

"Bro, I was taking a piss last night and I fell asleep in the middle of it!" Abernathy exclaimed.

"You're so stupid." Luke said.

"You're stupid too." Abernathy retorted.

Luke shoved Abernathy into Dallas and Dallas pushed him back.

"Stop jack-shitting around retards." Dallas yelled.

Luke and Abernathy then commenced to shoving Dallas back a forth in between them, laughing the entire time.

They arrived at at their 2nd period. Mrs. Adamson, their teacher, was greeting them at the door with her fake, white smile. As everyone finished settling down, Mrs. Adamson made her way to the front of the class.

"Today class, I have another essay
contest for you all to enter!" she exclaimed with a grin.

The entire class groaned, well, except for Herman who was overjoyed by the news.

"You all will have three days to turn in the final, typed copy." Mrs. Adamson added.

The class groaned again in unison. This was the 5th essay she assigned this month. Luke could tell the day was gonna be great already. He turned
to talk to Beju.

"Did you bring me my orange juice?" Luke asked.

"Yes, I did actually." Beju said as she bent over and unzipped her bag. She revealed a large bottle of Minute Made 100% freshly squeezed orange juice.

"Oh my goodness, thank you so much!" Luke excitedly exclaimed as he opened the bottle and eagerly chugged the fluid inside.

"Luke!" yelled Mrs. Adamson. "Why are you talking?"

"I was just thanking Beju for the orange juice." Luke answered.

"Are you back talking me?"

"No!?"

"Go out in the hall!"

Luke mumbled a few choice words under his breath as he grumpily trudged out of the room. He made eye contact with Lexus, who was laughing. He stuck out his tongue at her and opened the door and stepped out of the classroom. He sat on the floor and let out a long sigh. This was just perfect, getting in trouble for absolutely nothing. He didn't care much though, this happened a lot with this teacher. She made up the most absurd reasons to get her point across. Luke pulled out his phone and texted Ells, as he called her. Ells' real name was Ellie, but Luke liked to call her Ells or sometimes Llama. He complained about Mrs. Adamason in one long, hateful text message. He put his phone back in his pocket as the message sent. Luke then leaned against the wall of the hall and began to nod off.
