Luke had a quite boring home life. He wasn't very social outside of school and rarely hung out with friends on weekends. As he walked into his home he was greeted by his mom.
"Honey, I have some sad news." she said kind of sheepishly.
"What happened?" Luke asked.
"Our fish died while you were at school."
Luke didn't care much for their fish, he didn't even know it name, but yet he still felt a twinge of sadness.
"Why? How did he die?"
"I'm afraid he actually died from constipation." his mom answered.
"No way!" Luke said astonished. "You're just joking."
"Luke, I'm telling you the truth."
He laughed and grabbed an apple from the kitchen and then went into his bedroom. He shared a room with his little brother Andy and walked in on him naked, texting people on his phone.
"Oh my goodness, what are you doing?" said Luke shielding his eyes from further mental damage.
"Just texting some friends." his brother answered.
"But why do you not have any clothes on?"
"I was hot." he said plainly.
"That's gross." Luke said throwing a towel over Andy.
"I got a new girlfriend today." Andy said starting a whole new conversation.
Luke sighed. Andy had a new girlfriend almost every week.
"Who is it this time?" Luke asked.
"Her name is Isabell and she's Mexican." Andy said excitedly.
"Um, congratulations?"
"Hey, at least I can score exotic chicks." Andy answered. "I'd like to see you date a Latino woman."
"First of all, she is not a woman. She's like, 11. Second of all, no thank you. I don't just go dating around like you do."
"Whatever, you're just jealous."
"I'm absolutely not jealous!" Luke scoffed.
"You totally are."
"Why would I be jealous?"
"Because I get girls and you don't."
"How long has your longest relationship been?" Luke asked.
"I dunno, maybe 3 weeks."
Luke laughed.
"And it was with Judith, right?"
"Shut-up!" Andy yelled as he threw a pillow that had been touching him where not pillow should touch.
Luckily Luke dodged the pillow before he could be attack with anymore of his brother's "infected" bed ware.
The rest of the day just seemed to drag on slowly. He didn't do much then listen to Ellie text him about her dog, Candy, and have a few deep conversations about life with Faith.
Then finally, at around 10, Luke fell asleep soundly in his bed. The last thought that passed through his mind somewhat pertained to him not
wanting to go to school the next day.
