There was a point where I sat on the edge of the railing.

I was on a 20 foot bridge.

The cars underneath me didn't stop, no one had said anything to me.

I kept closing my eyes, over and over again like I would see something new

Then there was a voice

"Hey are you okay"

I turned around and there they were

9 boys, older than me but they went to the same school as me

I shook my head no and one hopped out of the car

He helped me off the railing.

Talked to me as I sat on the ground

I listened, wondering what I just did, what he just did

The car drove off but the boys came back

They asked my name, told me theirs

They offered me a mchicken sandwich from McDonald's

They put that and a handful of loose fries in my bag

They walked me back to school

And they kept talking to me

They talked to me and I didn't really listen

I kept wondering what happened

If they knew they saved my life

If they knew by getting me down

And offering me a mchicken sandwich

That it should that someone would care if I was gone
