At night, he decided to sneak out after curfew to go visit the Astronomy Tower, this year was going pretty 'good' so far. Draco cursed himself for thinking of returning to heck. Why did he do this?He decided spending time at the tower would calm his nerves and he may feel better gazing at the stars and taking in the breeze.
As soon at he went up he started dreading his decision. Astronomy tower used to help him calm down in his 6th year, but now he wanted to stay away from it. Why? It reminded him of what he was supposed to do, which was kill Dumbledore...
Murder was never Draco's thing, he discovered this when the pressure was overpowering him. Lord Voldemort at their mercy, his parents lives at stake... His parents, that was what troubled him the most. He couldn't let his parents die. Not only that, but he had a strong distaste in murder, even if he wanted to 'murder' Harry Potter.
He took a deep breath and went to the edge of the tower, where he always used to stand, looking at the Hogwarts scenery. But Draco immediately stopped as he saw raven hair. Harry was also there. Great.
Suddenly Potter turned to look at Draco, his brilliant emerald eyes shining brightly in the dark. Brilliant eyes?
"Oh, hey." Harry said.
"Hi," Draco replied.
There was an awkward tension between them, which was growing by the second and Draco was getting extremely uncomfortable.
"So, why are you out after curfew?" Draco asked, still feeling horribly uncomfortable.
"Why are you out after curfew, Malfoy?" Harry innocently asked.
Potter was driving him mad.
"I just like to sit here and my own business." Draco snapped. "What's wrong with that?"
--------
Jeez Malfoy must be in a bad mood, Harry thought. He looked at Draco's stormy grey eyes and both of their gazes locked at each other for centuries, Harry felt his heart flutter.
Stop that, He said to himself, You have a girlfriend, Potter.
Harry shook his head, and Draco looked at him as if he had lost his mind.
"Are you okay?" Draco asked, raising a brow.
"Uh, yeah." Harry said, his face heating up. "How about we have a small and civil talk Malfoy?"
Draco Malfoy, surprised by this, nodded slowly and sat down beside Harry, 2 feet away from him mind you. (Man, Draco has the right idea about social distancing.)
"So, how about I go first?" Malfoy asked.
Harry nodded.
-------
"Well," Draco started,"Why did you come to school?" He asked.
"I didn't really want to, you know, the game and all and besides, Kingsley said we didn't need to study to be an Auror, and that everyone who fought in the war can automatically bean Auror, but 'mione forced me and Ron. My girlfriend, as you know, Ginny, decided to come because of me. She pretty sweet yet dangerous at the same time." Harry replied.
For some reason, the word girlfriend upset him a bit. He didn't know why.
"But," Harry confessed,"I don't think I have the feelings I used to have for her anymore..."
And THAT made Draco a little hopeful.
This was it.
He couldn't believe it.
He actually had feelings for Potter.
Draco internally started to panic. He was gay, AND he realized he had a little crush on Potter. He wished he was completely oblivious for the first time in his life.
-------
Harry didn't know what he just said. But unfortunately, it didn't take a detective to figure out who he had feelings for.
He never thought he was gay.
He can't believe this was happening.
This is it.
He actually has feelings for Malfoy.
He couldn't help but say, "I have feelings for someone else now... and you won't believe who it is."
Draco's couldn't help but frown but Harry didn't see him. Blush was creeping on Harry's face.
Should he break up with her? Will she understand? Will she hate him forever? It's only been just like 5 months since they have been dating...
"Well um.." Harry continued,"What about you?"
"What?" Draco asked. He seemed to have been lost in something. "I was asking, why did you come to Hogwarts?" Harry repeated.
Draco took a deep breath and stated his reason. Harry was surprised.
"So that's how you..."
"Yes."
Harry didn't want to spend another second with Draco and something told him that Draco didn't want to either.
"Well," Harry said,"It's getting late, I guess we should head back to the common room." It felt a little weird saying that, him and Malfoy were sharing common rooms.
Malfoy silently nodded and got up. Before Harry could stop himself, he blurted out," Uh, see you tomorrow night?"
Draco looked at him with a blank face, shrugged and walked away to their common rooms. What was up with him?
Harry was still trying to make up his mind whether he should break up with Ginny, or not. He finally made his mind when he went into his Gryffindor-decorated room. He will break up with her when he gets the chance. He hopes he won't get murdered by Ron or Ginny or both for this.
