The entire Royal family had been set up for arranged marriage unless they were able to find love within the next year. So the children set off from the kingdom in search of a perfect love in hope they would not have to marry the princesses or princes from the neighboring kingdoms.
Luther, Diego, Allison, Klaus, Ben, and Vanya left their father for the next year to find someone to marry. But Five stayed. He knew he was a stubborn, cold human being. He knew it would be nearly impossible to find someone who would love him. Even though he desperately needed it. So the day each one of his siblings left, it was announced to the kingdom Five had stayed. Five became very angry with his Father for telling everyone he stayed because he didn't want opportunity to break some poor girl's heart. But maidens from every house hold came to the castle everyday in hopes of winning over the Prince's heart. Except for one.
The prince was eighteen, and this insignificant girl was nearly the age of fifteen and a half. Her father forbid her to go to the castle to meet the prince since he thought the age gap was way to large. He was only two and a half years older than her and she thought that was hardly an age gap at all considering him and her mother were seven years apart. But, it's not like she wanted to go anyway. She's never even seen the prince before, but from what she's heard from the other maiden's he was quite handsome. She also heard he was a bit boring and never showed any interest in any of the women. She thought that from how plain looking she was, she would never have a chance with him.
Y/n was a kind hearted person to the core. She was always helping others in need, whether they wanted it or not. But she would become sassy if you got on her bad side. She wore her heart on her sleeve and because of this, she had been heart broken one to many times. But this didn't stop her from trying to find the right person. She was just extra careful about it.
She stood in front of a mirror this particular morning to really get a good look at herself. She had h/c hair and e/c eyes. Her hair was in waves from having it tied in braids the previous night. She wore a dirtied up white shirt that was scrunched at the wrists and neck. The rest of her dress was a soft maroon color that was a covered slightly from an apron type of clothing that was a light tan color that had maroon colored, flowers decorating the front. In addition to that, she was wearing a burgundy type corset that hugged her waste perfectly. It was brought up to beneath her breasts so her shirt wouldn't become untucked. These were just about the only clothes she had except for her night gown. She left her room to go start up on cleaning the already tidy house.
The prince on the other hand had already started to get bored from his siblings already being gone an entire month and needed some fresh air. He met up with his best friends to help him sneak out.
"Delores! Pogo! I need your help."
"What is it Five?" Delores asked as she kneeled next to Pogo who was sitting in a chair in Five's room.
Delores and Pogo were Five's all time best friends. They were higher classed servants in the castle but Five loved them just the same. Pogo and him had been friends since birth, while Delores on the other hand only met Five when they were nine. She will admit they briefly dated for about a year when they were twelve before they both agreed to break it off because they had both fallen out of love. And they were perfectly fine with just being friends.
"I need some fresh air from all these women. When are they going to understand I don't want any of them?"
Pogo laughed.
