y/n's POV
"Listen to me! If you would trust me, tell me more about you, I could help!" I shouted.
Five's been a bit angry these past few days. More than usual, and I'm worried. I want to make sure he's okay.
"Babe, I know you want to help. Trust me, I know. But my past is too dark. I'm afraid you'll leave me."
I grabbed his face to turn and look at me.
"I wouldn't dream of leaving you. I love you too much." I said as I gave him a soft kiss. He pulled away and turned his back to me.
I reached for his hand, but he pulled away.
"I don't care how far you try to push me away. I'll always come back to stand right beside you." I said softly.
"That's the problem. What if you get hurt? I wouldn't be able to live with myself." He sighed and turned around to look at me.
I reached out to try and read his mind. He hated when I did that, but if he wasn't going to open up, I was gonna have to force it out of him.
He slapped my hand away, and I pulled back.
"Stop! Why can't you see I don't want your help."
I reached out again and touched his cheek before he grabbed my wrists and pushed me back.
"Don't ever try to get inside my head," He shouted, slamming me against the wall.
For several seconds we stayed there, his grip crushing my wrists. His eyes softened, and he looked down.
"It's too dark for you." He whispered. His grip on me loosened, and he let go of my wrists. I grabbed his face, and he looked up. He was crying, and I leaned in to kiss him. His lips met mine, and I trailed my hands up into his hair. He leaned into me and wrapped his arms around my waist. He started talking in between kisses.
"If I let you in," he kissed me again. "You promise not to leave me."
I leaned away from him.
"I promise," I said. We kissed once more, except this time, I started to focus on his memories, his past.
Just because his past was dark didn't mean he as a person was dark. I took a glance at everything I could get my hands on. His time in the apocalypse, the commission, Dolores.
His past was dark, but I still loved him the same. He was just lost and terribly misguided. He experienced things most thirteen-year old's would die over. I knew he was beyond repair, but he didn't need fixing. He just needed his pieces to be gathered and held close. Loved. And that's what I was doing.
We separated, and he held my waist tightly as if afraid I was going to run and never come back. But I stayed. I had a promise I needed to keep.
"You're not leaving, are you?"
"Never."
He sighed.
"What did you see?"
"I saw a boy who got caught up in a war he didn't sign up for."
He smiled and leaned back in to kiss me.
"I don't deserve you." He whispered.
"Yes, you do. You deserve everything."
"Dammit, y/n, how do you make me feel like this? I love you, and I don't even know how to express it." He said as he walked away from my grasp.
I smiled and giggled. He turned around, and he had this huge smile on his face as he turned red. He ran over to me and picked me up from the ground. I wrapped my legs around his back as I looked down into his eyes. He looked up at me, and I leaned down to kiss him. He smirked, and I pulled away.
"What?" I asked with a smile.
He chuckled.
"I-I'm just so happy. You're mine. I can't believe how lucky I've gotten."
"Well, believe it." I smiled.
He lied down on his bed and opened his arms. I climbed into his arms. Of course, we both fell asleep. And of course, our siblings got a few pictures; I mean, how could they not?
