While Mira was internally panicking due to the high chance that she would be exposed the caravan arrived at the guard station. The gypsy caravan pulled to a stop at the border crossing and the leader of the group handed over the necessary papers that were needed in order to pass through the checkpoint. After flipping through the papers the guard stated, "These numbers are wrong. There are two extra people in your caravan that your papers state."

Though surprised Corvo's face showed a calm countenance while he asked, "Hmm? May I see the papers real quick?" The guard handed the papers back to Corvo to inspect. Corvo inspected the number on the paper only to discover that the number was the accurate amount of people within their company. He began to count each person until he discovered Mira and her infant sister. Corvo studied the children that looked to be around the ages of eight and one years of age at the most. Upon seeing the panicking and nervous expression on the child's face he came to a decision that would highly influence Mira's future. Turning back to the guard he said, "Ah! I see the problem here. My wife and I recently adopted these two children." At this he pointed to Mira and her sister. "not to long ago. It was a rather abrupt decision so we didn't have a chance to make the correction to the papers yet."

"I see. I will let you through this time, however make sure to make the necessary changes as soon as possible to the documents." the guard decided.

Corvo walked over to Mira and put his free hand on her shoulder and said, "Of course sir." Mira was becoming increasingly worried and began to wonder, 'Is he making sure that I can't run away? What is going to happen to me? Will I get in trouble? Will they kick me out? What do I do?' The internal panic must have shown on her face because Corvo quietly whispered, "Calm down child. You and the baby will be safe. Just go along with the act for now then we'll talk later."

Although confused Mira understood that the man was helping her. While the caravan went through the checkpoint Mira stayed close to the man that she assumed was the leader, Corvo. The company traveled until they got far enough away from the checkpoint to stop for the day. Corvo ordered everyone to get the camp set up. Mira stayed quiet to the side as everyone set up camp. Once everything was set up Corvo led her towards a campfire that had a group of people sitting beside it. The area was set up in a way that Mira had never seen. Though it wasn't surprising that she had never seen something like this since she had lived in a castle. Around the campfire there were simple but beautiful pillows that people were using to lean against. As they got closer to the fire Mira became more nervous. Corvo had Mira sit beside him and began to introduce the people that were with them.

"My name is Corvo and on your other side is my wife Linda. Going from there we have Harley, James, Lee, Adjit, and finally Zara." he introduced each person that was around the campfire. Mira remembered hearing their names from the gossip that was happening within the group before she had been noticed. As he introduced everyone to Mira, she observed each person individually.

Linda was a beautiful short woman with long brown hair that was put into a loose messy bun. She gave off a motherly and kind feeling. Next to her sat a woman who was introduced as Harley. Harley was a young woman with medium length black hair that ended at her shoulders. She gave off the feeling that although she was a woman she was strong enough to beat most men. Mira had a feeling that she would get along well with Harley in the future if she was allowed to stay. After her was James who sat calmly while observing the situation. He had a dark auburn color to his short hair. His body was lean, but if one looked close enough then they could tell that he had a lot of muscle on his body. He had a mischievous light within his eyes even though his face displayed a calm countenance. Beside James lay a man introduced as Lee. It was easy to tell that he was from the Kingdom of the Sun which was far across the ocean. The only reason Mira knew this was because she had once seen a diplomat from the Kingdom of the Sun that had come to the castle to negotiate with her father. Lee had pale silky skin with raven black hair that nearly covered his slanted eyes. He gave off a mysterious aura that Mira was unable understand. Next was the man named Adjit. He had looks that surprised Mira because she didn't know his nationality. Mira had seen numerous diplomats from various nations and his looks didn't match with any of the nationalities that she had seen before. Adjit had golden skin that looked as though it was kissed by the sun. He was a man that looked to be in his late thirties. His features were so sharp and handsome that Mira became somewhat shy, but she continues to inspect his looks. He had golden blond hair that looked to be spun out of genuine gold. His eyes were an emerald green that drew you into their depths. Tearing her gaze away from his beautiful eyes Mira went on to observe the next person. Zara was an exotic woman that had ivory skin and black hair that fell in curls down her back. Mira realized that she had the features of someone that originated from the Nightfall Kingdom. This discovery caused Mira to to tense up.
