"Then, will you let me be selfish? Will you be mine?"

Even as children, everyone around them knew they would end up together. But of course, life doesn't always go as planned.
Alana never thoug...
She could feel the gentle brush dance gracefully across her face. Her eyes were closed, but she knew exactly what was going on.
You see, her face was the canvas and makeup was the art. Her talented makeup artist, Julia, knew her canvas well, as it's been 3 years since she began working for Alana. Behind them, Tyler worked with grace, styling her hair with soft waves. He ran his fingers through her hair, making her long balayage locks frame her face effortlessly.

On the side, Miranda stood finalizing the accessories for Alana's outfit that night. She was in charge of styling all of her outfits. The petite Chinese woman made sure Alana looked presentable at all times. She knew what Alana liked and didn't like, what suited Alana and what didn't. It was one of the reasons why they worked so well together.
Why all of them worked so well together.
All three of them had stood by Alana's side from the very beginning. When she went on concert tours, shot her music videos, and attended award shows— all three of them were right there with her.
They were her team. They were her family. They kept her company when she was lonely and without them, Alana wouldn't be who she was today.
"Open your eyes and look up for me, Lani," instructed Julia and Alana immediately obliged.
"Where's Daniel?" Wondered Alana, still looking up as Julia applied some shimmer along her lower lash line. "I'm starting to get hungry— I don't think I ate anything all day."
Right at that moment, Daniel walked into the room with a couple of bags of In-n-Out, and immediately a wide smile began to spread on Alana's lips, her eyes crinkling with happiness.
"Perfect timing," she excitedly made grabby hands at Daniel who chuckled with amusement. He placed the bags onto the table beside them and immediately unwrapped a cheeseburger with grilled onions.
"Wait!" Tyler shouted dramatically, causing Daniel to freeze. He quickly brushed Alana's hair back, clipping it so that it wouldn't get in the way. "There."
"I'm not a child, Ty," pouted Alana, reaching out for the burger again.
Tyler rolled his eyes. "We all know how you get when you're hungry."
It was true, Alana wasn't always the cleanest eater, especially when she was hungry. Either her hair would get caught in her food or she would get it all over her outfit— one way or another, it always resulted in a mess. Thankfully for Miranda, Alana hadn't put on her outfit for the night just yet, saving the woman from a heart attack at the young age of 30.
"Please, be careful, Lani," begged Julia. It had taken a couple of hours to do Alana's makeup and she'd be damned if she had to start all over.
Alana rolled her eyes mischievously. "It's okay, Jules," she reassured cheekily. "Good thing we didn't do my lips, yet."
