Soulmates?

This a romantic soulmate AU where when you first meet your soulmate, their name appears on your wrist. Most people meet their soulmates ages 16 - 26. Some people don't have soulmates. 

This takes place a month after Peter joins the Avengers, they all know his past and secret identity. Thor is on Asgard at the beginning and has never met Peter. 

Clint, Sam, Natasha and Bruce are just somewhere else during this. Don't ask please. 

This one is pretty shitty and boring but uh yeah. Its mostly just a filler.

3rd person POV

Peter jumped in his room from the window. It was around Midnight, maybe one or two in the morning and he had just gotten back from patrol. 

Patrol was easy enough, he stopped a couple muggings and kidnaps, plus a robbery. The worst injury of the night was just a couple bruises, nothing Peter couldn't handle. 

Peter changed out of his suit and into a hoodie with pajama pants. He jumps on his bed and pulls the covers himself. 

He lets out a heavy sigh and begins thinking about his soulmate. Everybody he knew has already found their soulmate. So when would he find his? He wasn't even fully sure he even has a soulmate. Maybe he was just meant to be alone. 

He falls asleep dreaming about his soulmate.

Peter flutters his eyes open and is instantly blinded by the sun coming through the blinds. 

"Stupid sun and all its stupid brightness has the audacity to wake me up from me beauty sleep. " Peter mumbles to himself, stretching his arms and getting out of bed. 

It was a Saturday, which meant Bucky was cooking breakfast and he always made the best food. Well, any food is good once you've tried Tonys cooking. 

Peter decided on not changing and he makes his way to the common area, where he sees Bucky prepping breakfast while humming in the kitchen. 

"Hi Bucky!" Peter says, smiling at the older male. 

Bucky turns around surprised and gives Peter a small smile. "Hey Pete. Wanna help me out?" 

Peter nods eagerly and begins getting taking out the ingredients from the fridge. 

After they finish cooking and setting the table, Steve enters the dining room pulling Tony behind him. 

"Its too early for this shit." Tony groans, taking a seat beside Steve. 

"It's almost afternoon, babe." Steve sighs, rubbing comforting circles on his husbands back. Tony gags in response. 

Bucky places a plate of food in front of front of both Tony and Steve, then grabs one for him and another one for Peter. 

Soon they're all seated at the table, eating sausage and eggs.

The all eat in silence for a couple minutes, but then a rumble shakes the building. While the others continuing eating their food, Peter has a look of confusion on his face. 

"What was that?" Peter asks the three. 

Tony shrugs, stuffing egg into his mouth, "Probably Thor, maybe he's back from Asgard." 

"Wait, I get to meet Thor? Like, The God Of Thunder, Thor?" Peter asks, his eyes wide in excitement.

Steve nods, cutting into his sausage. 

A flash of lightning crosses the sky, making Peter jump. 

"HELLO AVENGERS!" A deep voice booms through the room. 

All heads turn towards to where the voice was coming from. There stood Thor, with the Mjölnir in hand. 

Bucky, Steve and Tony all went over to the god to greet him, but Peter stayed in his seat, staring at Thor with wide eyes.

Thor stares back, his face frozen with shock. He knew the smaller boy could feel the small tingle on his wrist as could he. The other people in the room watched the exchange, confused. 

Thor looks at his wrist. "You're 'Peter Parker', right?" He asks, slowly walking towards the brunette.

Peter gulps and nods, checking his wrist. "You're my soulmate?" 

Thor wraps his arms around the other male, giving him a massive hug and placing his chin on the younger's head. "Oh my Odin, I thought I didn't have a soulmate." 

Peter tenses at first, then reluctantly hugs back. Resting his cheek on Thor's chest.

Thor pulls away, his hands on Peters shoulders. "Gods, you're beautiful." 

Peter blushes and gives him a small smile. Tony ushers Bucky and Steve out, following along with them, wanting to give the two their privacy. 

"So, we're soulmates.." Peter says, looking down in his lap. 

Thor lifts Peters chin, forcing him to look up at him. A blush was dusted on Peters cheeks, making his light freckles more noticeable. He looks at Thor with wide, doe eyes.

"Yeah," Thor grins happily at Peter. "I waited so long to meet you. I was scared that I didn't have a soulmate for the longest time." He admits.

Peter gives him a sad smile. "You're not disappointed? I mean, you're a literal god and I'm just me. You could've gotten so much better and yet you're stuck with me. The most awkward being literally ever." 

Thor cups Peters face and pulls him into a deep, loving kiss. Peter freezes, not knowing what to do but soon kisses back. All stress that Peter has ever had, he suddenly forgot. The kiss felt like heaven and it made both Peter and Thor feel safe. "I wouldn't want it any other way. I'm so glad I finally met you."

"Me too."
