Harry's POV

I healed my shoulder and stood up but was startled when I heard the sound of Myrtle from behind.

"I saw all that." She said and I turned to face her.

"Please, don't say anythin-"

"Don't worry, I won't say anything. Draco always comes here when he's upset but he never says anything, so I always just leave him be." She spoke and I looked at her in confusion.

"Why are you telling me this?" I asked.

"Nothing, just saying. Draco needs someone, I think you could be that someone." She whispered in my ear as she flew through me and sat on one of the many sinks.

I nodded, not really wanting to say anything as I tried to walk out the bathroom.

"Oh if only I had someone who cared for me." Was the last thing I heard her say and I was sure that she was probably crying in the bathroom right now.

I made my way to the great hall and thought back to everything that occurred in the bathroom. What did he mean by 'it's better' ? He's always saying it's better for me if I ignored him, not it's better for me. He said he wants me, I want to be there for him too but he won't let me.

I groaned as I grabbed at my already messy hair in frustration. It was just so complicated, everything was, everything always was.

I neared the big entrance of the great hall and entered. Seeing that Draco wasn't there, of course he wasn't.

I sat next to Hermione and Ron who were sitting silence, almost done with their meal.

"Harry, there you are! I was gonna go look for you if you didn't show up." Ron said as he greeted me with a pat on the back, I nodded and sat down between the empty space Hermione and Ron left.

"Did you see Draco?" Parkinson asked as she took a quick swig of pumpkin juice.

"Yes." Was all I said, not wanting to explain as I placed some food on my plate even though I didn't want to eat since my only motivation was not here.

Parkinson seemed to pick up on it and didn't ask farther to which I was glad.

"She still won't talk to me." Ron whispered, so only I could hear.

"Did you try apologising?" I asked and he seemed to stop his movements, biting the inside of his cheek as he looked at his plate with a guilty look.

"Not trying to be rude mate but you're quite dumb if you think she's gonna talk to you without an apology." I said truthfully and Ron just glared before sighing.

"I guess you're right." He said.

"I'm always right." I said cockily as I smirked but then Draco's face came into my mind and that smirk was replaced with a frown.

What should I do? Confront him and try to fix it or talk to Hermione about it... no, I don't think Draco would appreciate it if I told her that he was crying in Moaning Myrtle's bathroom.

So I guess confronting is better 'cause I won't let it go until he explains or actually be my...friend. although I'd love to be more, I'm sure he doesn't reciprocate, so I'll just keep it inside.

I started nibbling a bit on my food before I saw Hermione stand up, Ron following her, he looked back at me and I gave him an encouraging thumbs up to which he nodded before leaving the great hall. Hope it goes well for those two.

I stood up and bid my goodbyes to the other two before making my way to our dorm, praying to Merlin that he was there.

I reached the eighth year common room and spotted Draco sitting by the fireplace, just staring at the flames as it moved.

I walked over and sat beside him on the couch, happy at the low amount of people in the common room.

"Can't you leave me alone for even a day?" He asked as he acknowledged my presence.

"No, I can't, at least not until you explain everything to me." I replied back and he scoffed.

"I don't have to tell you anything, Potter." He said arrogantly as he took out a parchment from his bag that laid at his feet, he pulled out his quill and a little bottle of ink before getting up and walking over to the other couch that had a table as well, he placed down his things and dipped his quill in the ink, starting to write whatever.

I walked over and sat beside him but he ignored me as he leaned forward and continued to write. I leaned forward and tried to read but Draco blocked my view with his shoulder, so I just place my head on his shoulder and tried to look over.

"Ever heard of privacy, Potter?" He sneered as he shrugged my head off and stood up but I stopped him before he could leave.

"Ok, ok. I won't look, just sit back down." I surrendered and he rolled his eyes, sitting back down and writing on the parchment.

I leaned back and stayed true to my word and waited patiently until he would be done.

Not long after he folded the parchment and put it in a emerald green envelope that he pulled from his bag, stuffing it in his pockets before facing me.

"What do you want?" He asked.

"Let's talk in our dorm." I said as I noticed the students filling in from dinner. Fortunately, he didn't protest and stood up with his bag, entering our dorm, I did the same and closed the door behind and let out a long breath.

"I think it's time you finally explain." I said as I walked over to his bed and sat down.

"Get off my bed and no, like I said before, I don't have to tell you anything." He said as he tried to pry me off his bed but I didn't move and stopped his hands from pushing me.

"Please." I asked and I could tell how desperate I sounded and truth be told, I was desperate to know, know what's bothering him, why we can't be friends, why I can't spend time with him, everything. I wanted to know.

"No, Potter." He said sternly as he gave up on pushing me, sitting back on his pillow and crossing his arms.

"Tell me, Draco. Why can't you be my friend?" I said, not showing any signs of backing down.

"Because I hate you, that's all." He said and it stung but I tried to tell myself that he was lying.

"You're lying." I said, quite unsure of my words.

"You don't know anything about me, Potter." He said and I wanted to disagree but did I actually know Draco? Did I even know?

"I-.. I might not know you well but I... my heart tell me that you're lying, so stop and just tell me everything. Why do you keep avoiding me, Draco?" I asked, my tone firm and filled with determination, determination to open the boy in front of me.

" 'Cuz i don't deserve you, Harry."

That answer left me speechless.
