A spark in her eyes, a little girl she was.
Monsters under her bed, "I'm brave" she'd say.
She had her dad's hugs, everytime she was scared.
She had her mom's smiles, everytime she smiled.Acts tough, behind a mask she hides.
Monsters in her heart, "Can I give up?" she thinks.
Her dad's busy now, the blade runs across her skin.
Her mom's tired now, the blood won't stop, she's cryin'.~~Poet's Note~~
There's this time in your life that you won't even notice before the damage is already done. I'm sure if she could go back in time, she'd just watch her little self give a real smile. She wouldn't believe how everything changed.
She would have tears in her eyes as she knows that beautiful smile and that naive spark in her eyes would vanish, for what she believes is forever...
