A year and a half ago:
"When you come back from your mission, two Saturdays from now, let's meet at 79's. Yeah?" I ask my boyfriend Echo. He has a mission tomorrow at the Citadel. We met up to say goodbye as always before any of his missions. We go on walks around the lower levels of Coruscant; currently, we are heading back to my apartment.
"So? A date?" Echo asks smugly, smirking. I laugh and glance at the ground as we walk towards my apartment. Looking at our intertwined hands as I smile in content.
"I guess so," I say with a smile, as we finally have reached my apartment door. We both stop turning to face each other and intertwine both hands.
"I'll have to check my schedule," Echo cheekily respond, pulling me in for a kiss; I melt into the kiss, wrapping my arms around his neck and his around my waist. We pull apart and he breathes out, "I think I'm free."
I giggle as I turn to unlock my door. I grab my keys and was about to put them in the lock when suddenly Echo hugs me from behind and nuzzles his head into the nape of my neck. I sigh in content and close my eyes, putting my hands over his, on my stomach. Wishing that it could stay this way forever, that there was no more war or violence. That I wouldn't have to worry about Echo 24/7.
When he lets go and I finally turn around, my doubts finally sets in. Echo is going on a dangerous mission. From what I've heard the Citadel is very dangerous and is meant to impossible to break into. This isn't like the usual mission with his brothers.
"Ehem, well... M-maybe these missions not very safe and not the best idea. The Citadel is supposed to be impossible to break into," the doubts in my head speaking out, my eyes widen as I finish my thoughts. Wrapping my arms around my body.
"What do you mean?" Echo questions with a concerned face.
"W-well... I-I'm just saying that maybe this isn't the best idea to go on this mission," I stutter looking at the ground, unable to meet his gaze.
"Are you doubting me, my brothers, and general Skywalker?" He questions with a slight frown.
"N-no of course not. I just don't want to worry if you're coming back to me. I worry every second you're gone on a mission wondering if I'll ever see you again," I say still looking at the ground, as tears start to fill my vision. Echo puts one hand under my chin, making me look him in the eye. His eyes soften when he sees the tears building up in my eyes. He wipes away newly fallen tears and I sniffle.
"Hey mesh'la, it's going to be okay. We are going to go in and out and back home to you in no time. I can never leave you for long, you know this," beautiful. I smile, nodding my head, through the tears when he said I was his home.
"I'm going to keep you to that," I say smiling, as he wipes away the last of my tears. We lean in and meet in the middle for another kiss. I put my arms around his neck, while he puts his around my waist pulling me closer once more. We pull away, both smiling.
