Match Night
Rayna POV
I am nervous as hell for my match tonight, mostly because I'm not sure how it will go down with the rest of the roster that I picked Jeff. He isn't universally loved.
I change into my ring gear and take a moment to calm my nerves, Jeff is in a separate locker room as no one is to know he is my partner.
I head to gorilla and watch Lana and Dolph head to the ring, I had already done a segment showing me asking people to be my partner to make it look like I can't find one.
My music hits and I go out to the ring alone, I am handed a mic on the way down just in time to hear Lana cackling at me.
"Oh look no one wanted to partner with you huh" she laughs
"That's right Lana laugh it up" I growl "I don't need a partner to kick your ass"
"But you need a partner to be in a tag match" she smirks
"True but I don't need one for a handicap match" I snap "ring the damn bell"
I throw my mic away and get in the ring, but Lana is on me the second I enter pummelling me with lefts and rights. She backs me up in to the corner and starts kicking my mid section until I am on the mat.
"Ooh this is not looking good for Raven" Michael Cole says
"Well that's what you get for being cocky" Corey smirks
I try to stand but Lana is on me again, this time I manage to push her off me long enough to get a couple of punches in myself. She kicks my mid section again and then gives me a neckbreaker.
She then turns and tags in Dolph, he picks me up and holds me so that Lana can keep beating on me.
"What is going on why isn't anyone helping her" Cole screams
"Why don't you help her if your that bothered" Corey retorts
"I might have to if things don't change" Cole says
Dolph clothes lines me over the top rope and I land in a heap, before I have chance to think he is pulling me back into the ring and setting me up for a zigzag.
Don't you see the writing on the wall
"Oh my god it's Jeff Hardy" Cole screams
"What! He's not scheduled to be here tonight, what is he doing" Corey gasps
Jeff runs down to the ring and helps me to my feet. He leans me against the turnbuckle and cups my face in his hands resting his head against mine.
"You ok?" He asks and I nod, he helps me out of the ring then turns his attention to Dolph grabbing a mic
"She has a partner now" he says throwing the mic out of the ring.
"Jeff Hardy is helping Raven" Cole announces
"Did you see the way he looked at her Cole, there is something going on there" Corey says
Jeff hits Dolph with all his signature moves finally climbing the turnbuckle and hitting a swanton bomb, he goes for the pin.

The bell rings and Jeff's music hits, he gets out the ring and lifts me up bridal style and carries me back stage.
The cameras follow as he carries me straight to medical and lays me on the bed.
I try to get up but Jeff stops me
"Hey stay there you need to be checked over" he says moving some hair out of my face.
I lay back down and smile at him
"Hey thanks for coming out there" I smile
"Don't mention it" he smiles back "I couldn't just do nothing"
Jeff holds my hand as the medical team start to check me over and the cameras leave.
I sit up on the bed and wince holding my neck.
"Are you sure your ok?" Jeff asks looking worried
"Yeah I'm just a bit sore" I say "I'm sure she put extra force in that neckbreaker"
We head back to our lockerooms and I take a shower letting the hot water run over my neck. I'm sure that bitch is deliberately trying to injure me. I can't keep up with her, one minute she is apologising the next she is trying the break my neck.
I come out of the shower to find Lana waiting for me and I see red.
"What the fuck was that out there Lana" I shout "you could of broken my neck"
"Nothing you didn't deserve" she smirks
"Can you please explain to me why you have a problem with me because fuck if I know" I snap
"My problem is you hanging around Jeff" she snarls "you should keep your distance"
"Why you want him for your self?" I laugh and she looks at the floor blushing
"Oh my god you do" I gasp "I was fucking kidding, so that's what this is about"
"Whatever" she says not looking at me
"You know there is nothing going on between me and Jeff right" I ask" we were just winding you up"
"Then why do you spend so much time around him" she asks
"He's my friend" I laugh "thats all"
"I'm not just going to take your word for it" she smirks and leaves the locker room
Later at the hotel
Jeff POV
After having a shower and changing clothes I grab my phone and room key and go check on Ranya. I need to convince her to speak to Vince about that neckbreaker, if Lana isn't stopped Ray could get seriously injured.
I knock on her door and she answers.
"Hey" she says not smiling
"You alright" I ask entering the room
"I had a visitor in my locker room" she says
"What did she want this time" I sigh
"It would appear that little miss psycho tried to break my neck because she fancies you" she snaps
"She what!" I laugh "no way"
"Yes way" she laughs with me.
"Seriously though you need to speak to Vince" I say "if that's true she ain't going to leave you alone and I don't want to see you get hurt"
"I will I promise" she smiles "I have to, our story line isn't going to help things"
She lays down on the bed and I lay with her and pulling her into me.
"Don't worry Ray, I've got you" I say kissing the top of her head "I'm not going to let her hurt you"
