Later That Night

Rayna POV

I'm sat waiting for Jeff in the parking lot and so far there is no sign of him. I'm maybe a little early but I wasn't sure what time his match was.

Just as I begin to think he's changed his mind I see him heading towards my car. He waves as he approaches and I smile. He puts his bag in the trunk and gets in the passenger seat.

"Hi, sorry I took so long" he says "Vince wanted to see me"

"Oh nothing bad I hope" I say

"No he's actually giving me a title shot" he smiles

I smile to myself as I drive out of the parking lot, so Vince really did want to make it up to me I think to myself. I'm actually surprised he kept his word it's not something he is known for.

"So where are we headed" Jeff asks

"Well I figured since you want to talk that privacy would be best" I say "so if it's ok with you we're going to my place"

"Sounds good to me......wait you've been in North carolina the whole time?" he asks

"Yeah, sorry about that I just wanted to be left alone" I explain

"Hey, its ok I understand" he says

I pull up outside my house and we head inside, I make a pot of coffee and we order pizza.

When the pizza arrives we take it through to the living room and sit on the couch.

"So you wanted to talk" I say taking a slice of pizza

"Yeah I really think we need to" he says

"After what I did I wouldn't have thought you would have much to say to me" I sigh

"I have alot to say to you" he smiles "first Reby told me what you told her, I know you had no choice and I also know that you protected me and that got you hurt"

"Having no choice doesn't make it right" I say not looking at him

"That's true but I also know what you said to Randy and the entire lockroom" he laughs "what you have done for me means the world to me and I can't thank you enough"

Jeff takes my hand in his and gives it a squeeze

"Ray I want you to know that I forgive you" he says

"Really? Thank you but I don't know if I can forgive myself" I reply

"Ray you did nothing wrong" he says "yeah you made that deal but you never went through with it"

"Jeff you are too good for this world" I say smiling

"I could say the same about you" he laughs "so how about we start again?"

"As friends?" I ask

"I can't be your friend Ray" he says "because I'm in love with you"

I literally freeze holding my slice of pizza near my mouth, after a moment aware of how ridiculous I look I put the pizza down but stay silent. I notice that Jeff is starting to look uncomfortable and I know I have to say something.

"I love you too Jeff" I sigh "but are you sure you want to be with me?"

Jeff POV

I can't help but smile, her nervousness is adorable. I was so relived when she agreed to meet me tonight, all I wanted was a chance to talk to her and tell her how I feel.

"I'm sure Ray" I smile

She smiles and kisses me, I happily return the kiss holding her in my arms. I've missed this so much, I've missed her. The last few weeks I've been driving my self crazy staying to find her and now that I have her in my arms I'm never letting her go again.

When I found out everything she had done for me I was amazed no one has ever stood up for me the way she did. Things are so different at work now and it's all thanks to her. In such a small amount of time she has completely changed my world and I would have been a fool not to fight for her.

After a few moments I break the kiss and just admire her, I had noticed earlier that she had changed her hair, her once long dark hair is now shoulder length and a deep red colour.

"You hair looks amazing" I say and she blushes

"Thank you, since I'm no longer wrestling I didn't need to keep it long anymore" she says

"What do you mean no longer wrestling?" I ask

"I quit" she says "it wasn't what I thought it would be"

"So what are you doing now" I ask

"I work at my local gym, training people" she replies "Vince asked me to come back but I said no"

"So that's why you were there today" I say

"That and to pay him back the money he spent helping me out" she sighs "he apologised and offered to make it up to me"

"Do you think he will keep his word" I ask

"It doesn't matter if he does or he doesn't" she smiles "all that matters is he apologised"

"It's getting late, I should get going" I yawn

"Why don't you stay here tonight" she asks

"Are you sure" I ask

"Yes of course" she smiles

That night for the first time I slept with her in my arms and it just felt right.

A/n again off the top of my head, sorry if it's not very good
