A.N. So this is just a Halloween one-shot. Enjoy!

Summary: The states go to an actual haunted house. It was Florida's idea.

—————————————————————————
"I really don't think we should be here," DC says. "I can't believe I let you drag us into this." He turns to Florida.

He looks up at the big building. It's one of the most haunted places in the U.S.

"Relax, DC. There's 50 of us and you know what they say, 'there's safety in numbers' so we'll be fine," Florida says.

"That isn't great logic," California says.

           "We'll be fine," Florida says.

DC sighs, "fine, but everyone stick together."

Everyone nods in understanding and agreement before they enter the abandoned, supposedly haunted house.

Upon entering the house, the states all felt some sort of presence.

"You all feel that too, right?" Utah asks.

           Everyone nods in agreement.

"Everyone, we have to stick together. At least in the same room." DC repeats.

Everyone nods in understanding before they all looked around the foyer area of the house.

Illinois looks at a picture of a family on the wall before the picture falls off the wall for no reason. He jumps back a bit in surprise and quickly walks away from the picture.

Rhode Island looks at him, "what was that?"

          "I dunno," Illinois shrugs.

Rhode Island shrugs it off as well.

"Hey, Loui! Come look at this creepy clown figurine!" Florida calls his best friend over to a shelf.

Louisiana walks over to Florida and looks at the clown figurine before turning to DC, "so DC, what's the story behind this place again?"

It may have been Florida's idea to go there, but that does not mean that Florida knows the story behind the place.

"There was a mass murder here at a dinner party. The family members that lived here all got murdered and so did all the guests. Probably by being poisoned. Legend says that the family members who died here all haunt this place. No one has lived here since." DC explains.

"How long ago was that?" Florida asks.

"Over a decade ago," DC answers.

"Wow. Well, we saw what we wanted to see, so we can leave now," Florida says.

They walk towards the front door, which they had left open upon entering, Before they could leave, the door closed on them. Florida tried to open the door, but it wouldn't open. "Uhhhhh... guys? We're locked in!"

"Are you serious?!" DC tried to open the door as well, not knowing if Florida was prancing them, and it wouldn't budge.

"What do we do?!" Florida asks, low-key freaking out, but trying to hide it.

"Okay, calm down. You all stay here while I go look for a way out. It could be dangerous to venture further on into the house so you guys just stay here," DC says.

"Be careful, DC. Like you said, it could be dangerous," California warns.

DC nods before walking further into the house in search of a way out. He found a few doors that lead to the outside, but none of them would open.

"Why do all of these doors lock from the outside?" DC asks himself, noticing the key hole on the doors.

A small ghostly figure appeared in front of DC. He screams. 'I hope the states didn't hear that.' He thinks.

               Meanwhile, with the states~

"Did you all hear that?" Oregon asks.

"Yeah. It sounded like DC. Hope he's okay." California says.

               Back with DC~

"Sorry about that. My brothers love playing tricks on people on Halloween. A lot of people come here on Halloween to ghost hunt. I am only active to undo my brothers' pranks. Here's the key to the front door. You and your friends can leave now." The little ghost figure said.

Two more ghost figures appear and one of them says, "ugh! Emma! You're no fun!"

DC takes the key and says awkwardly, "I-I'm just gonna go now..."

He walks back to the states, "got the key."

"Oh, we're glad you aren't dead," Florida says.

DC unlocks the door and they all leave.
