I began telling the tale to everyone that were so engrossed to it that they looked like statues.

"The demon grabbed hold onto my neck and threw me against the cave wall. My sword was flung to the opposite side of it as it was slowly walking towards me. I struggled to get up but it slammed it's clawed foot onto the back of my head. I was pretty much close to death by feeling my strength being suck out of me. But I wasn't going to let that happen.

I grabbed my knife from my side and was able to plunge it into it's ankle. It howled in a screeching scream that nearly made the cave walls collapse. I punched it's foot off of me while it was in pain. I got up and ran towards my sword. I grabbed hold of it and turned around to find it was bigger and nastier than before. It's eyes turned from blood red to pitch black, blending with it's body. It's claws grew more than 3 inches and were sharp enough to cut through rock in one slice.

I raised my sword and swung it, causing it to slice through the demon's body. It's two halves dissolved into nothingness and was replaced by a gem that was completely rare." I pulled out the gem that in my belt and raised it up for everyone to see. They were amazed, probably knowing that they've never seen anything like it.

"Thank you, Exile," said the king, pronouncing my name wrong. "You're tale was so intriguing."

"Thank you, my king," I said. I got down from the wall as he hollered for everyone to drink and dance. The music started playing again as I made my way to Jayla, who was joined by Mother and Father.

"That story was amazing, Exile," said Mother, kissing my forehead.

"Yeah, I didn't think that you were such a good storyteller," Jayla added.

"Gee, thanks," I said. I looked over at Father and I saw that he was on his tenth mug of wine. "Father, you should go rest. You've drinking too much and I'm worried about your health."

"You're a good kid, Exile," he said. "Taking care of your old man and your mother when you're here."

"Father, where are you going with this?" I asked.

"I'm saying that everytime you're on your adventures, your mother and I worry about you sometimes." he replied.

"Mother, Jayla, I'm taking Father home, alright?" They nodded as I helped Father get up. I grabbed his arm and placed it on my shoulder, allowing him to walk with my support.

We walked by the palace gates and made our way home safely. I set Father down on his bed, which was next to the kitchen as I got a bowl of water and made him drink it. Once he finished it, he was out. I was about to go back but I decided to stay and get some sleep as well.

I went up to my room to find Sukai was already at my window. Sukai, what are you doing here? I asked.

I followed you, he said, giving me a straight answer. Are you going to go back to square?

No, Father is sleeping so I'm staying here with him. I answered. I yawned and settled into bed.

Goodnight, Master Exile. I saw his head disappear from the window, knowing that he was lying down. I closed my eyes, dreaming about my next adventure.
