Seven months later

Sukai and I were in dead center of top class demons surrounding us. They were more intelligent and faster than the ones that I fought before. I held out my flaming sword in front of me, waiting for them to come closer so I could take 'em in one blow. But there were about a hundred or close to it, so I would be able to strike the ones on my side with Sukai would do the rest.

A demon on my far left started coming for me, being followed by a couple more on my right. These morons need to plan better, I thought as I slashed from the left, causing the one to be sent flying into the others. Their rotten flesh slowly melted away with the flames while I made my move.

"Sukai, now!" I ordered. He shot into the air like a rocket. More demons came clashing at me with their claws and ugly looking swords. I was able to dodge and strike at them until he came back down, speeding faster than the speed of light. He shot out red and green fireballs at the demons around me, carefully not trying to burn me. But he was only able to wipe out a half of them, which wasn't good enough. "Yaki Oni Giri!" My sword's flames grew bigger as I swept the entire demons into dust.

When there was nothing left, I was quite happy of us, growing stronger everyday. "That was amazing, Sukai. We were able to beat up those demons without breaking a sweat."

Yeah, right, he said. Says the guy who is looking all wet in the face.

"What are you talking about?" I asked, placing my sword away. "You don't sweat."

Exile, you're such an idiot sometimes.

"And when was the last time that I was an idiot?" I asked. I climbed onto his back and we set off.

Well, you did say that you would take on the strongest demon in the world a few days ago, when you were talking to a couple of ladies in the tavern, he explained.

"They were girls, Sukai." I said. "And that was only to protect them if it did appear."

Sure, he said. We continued to fly across the rolling hills, filled with thick forests and a long river that leads straight into the place where we were going, Gidner.

We arrived at Gidner, late afternoon. We landed in front of the tavern and I saw some evil glares looking at me from bystanders. I walked in, filled with thugs and thieves and probably mercenaries, giving me the same glare when I first came here.

I walked up to the bar, handing the bartender my sword for him to look at it. "So, the job is done?" he asked.

"If you see black demon blood on an anciet flaming sword, then that means a yes," I answered. "Now, will you tell me about the person you were talking about?" I saw him ponder for a moment but then when he opened his mouth, the door swung open. I looked over my shoulder to find a boy, that had blonde hair and pale skin with faded red eyes. He looked almost exactly like me.
