I don't really care about harems, sure they are nice and all but it is rare to see them done properly. In most cases the harem is forced and doesn't work with the story, there are even cases where the harem is so big that it encompasses every girl in the anime or novel. For a harem to work in a story, it can't be forced because it would ruin the flow of the story and the harem can't have a ton of girls in it, the most that i thing is reasonable would be around 5 to 6. Haveing to many girls in a harem wouldn't work in a story.
