"I'm not going in there." I stated.
Nico tugged on my arm and gave me a reassuring smile. "Come on, Will. It's just a haunted house."
"That's the problem." I sighed and leaned against the wall. The two of us were currently three people away from the entrance to the Haunted House.
I absolutely did not want to go. Halloween is pointless. Wasn't I making that obvious?
"Here I'll hold your hand, Sunshine." Nico smirked at me as he stuck out his hand.
I refused obviously.
I glared at him and he responded by sticking his tongue out at me.
The three people in front of us walked into the Haunted House, making us move up to the front of the line.
The lady running the tickets didn't seem to be enjoying herself.
My heart raced as I heard screams coming from behind the door. I grabbed Nico's sleeve and took a deep breathe.
"Will if you really don't want to we don't have to." Nico gave me a gentle smile.
Honestly fuck my sudden urge of confidence. "No it'll be fine. Let's just get it over with."
The three people came out of the door with fear laced in their eyes.
"Ok you boys go on." The lady grumbled at us.
Nico walked into the door and pulled me along. My heart raced as we were enveloped in darkness.
Not even a few steps in, a person in a clown suit jumped out and screamed at us. I let out a high pitched scream and grabbed Nico's hand tight. He laughed and squeezed my hand. He pulled us along, with me in back.
We were halfway through and my hands were already shaking. Of course Nico, the little shit he is, was laughing at me.
I squeezed his hand and screamed once more when another person popped out. Why do they gotta be good at there job though?
"I fucking hate this." I whimpered as I screwed my eyes shut.
"Its almost done, Will." Nico reassured me.
I buried my face into his shoulder and held a tight grip to his arm. I kept my eyes closed for the remainder of the Haunted House.
Finally Nico pulled me out the door and shook me off of his shoulder. "You can open your eyes now, Scaredy Cat."
I snapped my eyes open and glared at him. "I am not a Scaredy Cat! If anything I'm-" Before I could finish Nico pecked me on the lips and smiled.
"Yes you are." He laughed as he pulled me into a hug. I relaxed in his comforting embrace.
"You're my Scaredy Cat."
