"Ok ok ok tell me again," Hermione begged as she walked beside Brandi to class. The girl had noticed the increased tension between Brandi and Oliver and instantly picked up that something had happened between them, squeezing the information out of a reluctant Brandi before first period.
"Ugh again? Dude it was just a kiss, there's no need to freak out," Brandi defended, downplaying the incident.
"But you two are so cute! And Oliver is wanted by just about every girl here, and he kissed YOU!" Hermione continued, being shushed by Brandi.
The two continued walking, finding the increase in population at Hogwarts with the visiting schools to make the hallways crowded and busy, increasing difficulty to get to class. They weaved in and out of the packed walkways, until Brandi was pushed up against the back of a boy in Durmstrang uniform, both of them eliciting an apology instantly.
"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry," Brandi panicked.
"No need to apologise, we're the one's taking up your hallway."
The boy was the same blonde that had looked at her in the Durmstrang entrance the night of their introduction, and she was surprised to hear how little of an accent he had, sounding a lot less Russian than his peers.
"Before you ask, no I'm not Russian," the boy answered for her, noticing her slight confusion.
Brandi giggled. "Not Russian but you are a mind reader?"
"I like to think of myself that way," he joked back with a smile. "I'm Elias."
"Brandi, nice to meet you," she responded, accepting his outstretched hand. "So if you're not Russian, where are you from?"
"Well I'm Swedish by heritage, grew up all over Europe though. Durmstrang most of the year."
Brandi nodded, understanding how he stood out from the rest of the typically brunette, crew cut, stocky Durmstrang cohort. He seemed much more approachable and cuter in her opinion.
"Wow, you're quite a geographical cocktail," Brandi quipped, making Elias laugh whole-heartedly and draw some attention to the two of them.
"Cocktail, like the one you had on the Black Lake the other morning?"
Brandi's face grew red with embarrassment and she hid it in her hands with a moan. "Don't remind me. I'm still trying to plot revenge for that one."
"We all thought it was extremely entertaining. You have to give it to them, it was a good idea," he granted.
Brandi nodded. "Fair, but that water had no business being that cold."
He laughed once more. "Also fair."
"Brandi, we have to go. McGonagall's waiting," Hermione intervened.
Elias nodded to the two. "Not to worry, I have to go also. But it was lovely to meet you, Brandi, and you..." he trailed off waiting for Hermione to answer with her name.
